In fact, you might even say it's posters like Raiders666 who are truly happy with the team losing... what an incredible irony.
Nothing personal, Nickman, but I'm not sure how you reached the conclusion that Raiders666 is, or ever was, happy with the team losing.
For the record, I remember the Round 8 Game Day thread when we lost against the Warriors. Some posters were saying that they wanted the team to lose, and spent much of the game cheering on the Warriors. Meanwhile, Raiders666 commented that he would like to see the Raiders win as many games as possible because he might only have 12 months left to live. At this point, the mood shifted and posters rallied behind Raiders666 to offer him their support and best wishes. I'm lying, of course. Nobody noticed. Nobody said a thing. Nobody wished him well. They were all too busy whingeing about how much their favourite team sucked.
I hope you're doing well, Raiders666.
Thanks mate....Not many people around here noticed or cared. It's been a horrible 12 months for me. Thanks again.
I have to say I didn't read or take part in that thread at all (I was at a wedding that day and only caught the game on replay), but I hope you're doing ok, Raiders666.
Whitehead confident Canberra Raiders can make it three wins in a row
Canberra Raiders captain Elliott Whitehead is confident that the side can get another important victory this weekend when they face off against the Gold Coast Titans as the team pushes towards a top eight finish.
“They are a dangerous side; they have some dangerous players who can score anywhere on the field, so we have to be at our best,” Whitehead said.

Justin Holbrook has revealed that the Gold Coast Titans letting go of Jamal Fogarty during the off-season was a mistake, but the club's board are still supportive of the under fire coach.
“We made a decision as a club, I can’t change that now,” Holbrook said. “If I’d have known where we were sitting now, it’s easy. It’s easy to comment on things after they’ve happened. You need a crystal ball. It hasn’t worked out the way we would have liked, that’s obvious. I’ll cop that on the chin."
Canberra Raiders fullback Xavier Savage continues upward spiral
It's the next step for young gun Xavier Savage - getting physically used to being bashed around in the NRL every week.
"That's always there for fullbacks. It's just part of the development of a young footy player," Stuart said. "He's a tough kid. He's been whacked around here at training as much as he does at games. That's the way we have to train at this level. His progression and development has been on an upward spiral every week.

This is a huge game against the Titans this weekend a win will put us equal 8th on 22 points.
It’s a must win situation.
Every loss gets you closer to a win. Titans are due.
We are likely to lose to the Titans and beat the Panthers. Much like we lost to the Dragons, then beat the Storm in Melbourne.
I agree with you 100%.
The weakest link in this team and has been for years now is our mental toughness.

Katrina Fanning reflects on Women in League Round amid ugly 'Manly Seven' controversy
NRL's Women in League Round is a special time for Canberra icon Katrina Fanning, but the events of the last week "diluted" important messages and hit very close to home for the former Jillaroo.
"It's the realisation of what we always believed the game could and should be - it's achieving it," Fanning said. "The round started off trying to thank the people who helped the blokes play, and now women belong everywhere rugby league has roles to fill.
