I'll be watching this, an all time great. Just his break for the try in the 1991 losing GF was something to behold. We played side by side then, with great ball movement and Ricky's 20 m spiral passes.

He was a bit of a phenomenon as a lock. Great athleticism, mobility and a motor for days- which is rare enough but then he had power and that quality/attacking finesse too.

He would absolutely smoke it at lock in this era too, which is not always the case across eras as the game changes. Imagine having a massive unit at lock, with the engine to get back and take hit ups like the wingers/back 3 do these days.

I remember him playing centre for us in 1988 when Mal was injured - but by 1994 he could play prop as he would be so fit and one of the first back from a kick return to take the first hit up. A great player for us who didn't get the wide recognition that he deserved.

Yeah he started off a bit gangly and rangy and had the movement to be ok at centre, and he filled out later on. I mean he played umpteen origins and kangaroos, he was respected by all as an excellent player. I guess when your captain is an Immortal and you've got Ricky and Laurie outside you too you get a bit lost in the crowd.

One of the best players I have ever seen.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.
