I sort of got that by the fact her name had changed! After Adam went to Cronulla for half a year, he was offered another contract back here but decided to move on with his life and do other things whilst playing local footy on the side. Would be a very good player in local footy I would reckon.

Canberra Raiders prop Josh Papalii happy with Queensland Origin cameo role

Josh Papalii will soak up every minute of State of Origin II knowing there could only be 20 available to him after the veteran's cameo role in their series-opening win.

"Bill just said 'go as hard as I can for as long as I can," Papalii said. "I did that for 15 and the last five or so; if that's my role, that's my role and I am happy to sit on the bench the whole game if I have to. Those boys came on, took it to another level. It doesn't bother me, the main thing is we win."

Women's State of Origin crowd record looms at Canberra Stadium

A crowd of more than 10,000 is expected tonight at Canberra Stadium for the Women’s Origin and there "may well be more than 12,000 eventually". The current crowd record for Women's Origin was 10,515 from the 2019 clash at North Sydney Oval.

Queensland Maroons Josh Papalii seeks Perth State of Origin revenge over NSW Blues

Josh Papalii remembers the last time he went to Perth. And he doesn't like it. It's why he's determined to help wrap up the State of Origin series on Sunday night.

"We lost to NSW last time we went to Perth - I think we got an absolute spanking there in '19 and hopefully that's not the same case," Papalii said. "It's always good going into camp knowing that you've won your last game and I got to travel to Queensland with Dane Gagai and Kalyan Ponga. I was the happy one for sure.

Not a bad game. Millie Boyle has quite the motor on her. I can understand a few clubs chasing her.

I enjoyed it, I thought NSW were far and away the better team but Qld seemed to be able to take their limited opportunities. Isabelle Kelly as player of the match was the right decision, I thought she was massive.

One thing I will say about womens sport is it is fantastic how much they love it and are not afraid to show it.

I much prefer to watch women’s rugby league than women’s AFL.

i had the game on in the background as I pottered around the house doing some housework, I thought it was a really entertaining game of footy. The quality of the players is improved dramatically on what we saw even 2-3 years ago

Exposure to high level coaching and competition has really taken the girls up a few notches.
Agree about Kelly being MOTM. She was awesome.

I also watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it. I miss my footy and Aust hasn't played well v Sri Lanka in the cricket ODIs this week.

Thought Qld were going to win it again at the death. The No. 1 for NSW was very good, also Isabelle Kelly.

Also watched Ricky Stuart's speech to the NSW team as well before the match. Was thinking he was going to curse them as NSW were leading at half time.

Here comes Queensland! Amazing light show in the lead up, with the stadium changing from maroon to blue and back again. Now New South Wales. Smoke from the fireworks is thick. It is a 60,000 sell out crowd.

The official ceremonies are over... it is now GAME ON! Daly Cherry-Evans having plenty to say in a Queensland huddle. The Blues are standing waiting. It is an impressive sight, this stadium, at night.

3rd min CHARGE DOWN and the Blue regather the ball... and attack in the red zone. Great defence from Queensland on the goal line forces an error from the Blues. Cleary got the charge down, putting the pressure on Munster.

10th min ERROR BLUES Knock on against Liam Martin and they're challenging. It is a clear loose carry, but the bunker doesn't see it that way. He says Kaufusi strips it. Cameron Murray required to go off for an HIA. It's the result of a high tackle from Valentine Holmes.
