16th min PENALTY BLUES and they're quickly attacking in the red zone. Harry Wilson has passed his HIA.
TRY BLUES to Michael Asomua! Quick hands from Mooney... and Brad Morkos gets the try assist out wide.
Blues 6-4

Trey Mooney has good silky hands. Good accruate ball distribution. I can certainly see why some think he can be a long term #13

14 mins to half time PENALTY BLUES, Asomua draws another, simply because he's so hard to put down.

13 mins to half time TRY BLUES to winger Jack Bostock, took the kick to the corner completely uncontested. Weaver converts from the sideline. Strange action, but he's potting them from everywhere.

26th min TRY BLUES to five eighth Weaver, follows the kick from Jonah Pezet, and Weaver chases and just gets it down inside the dead ball line. Weaver converts his own try from in front. Queensland hasn't had the ball for an age.

I would like to see more of him. He was good for a while for the Thunderbolts against us in Wagga but faded at times. I saw him a couple of weeks ago playing for Easts Tigers. I didn’t realise it was his first Qld Cup game. Wynnum including Luke Bateman gave them a real touch up but he was partnering Darren Nichols who is very experienced at that level. Storm have had a few at this level who have looked great and then haven’t progressed.

The passing short and long in this game has been impressive, and the short kicking game is smart and creative.Bay53 wrote: ↑June 23, 2022, 8:17 pmI would like to see more of him. The Raiders guys have been very good shutting down Jack Howarth who has big wraps on him. He really is one the ARU had to keep, I am pretty sure he was a star in Brisbane GPS rugby.Botman wrote: ↑June 23, 2022, 8:21 pmThe passing short and long in this game has been impressive, and the short kicking game is smart and creative.Bay53 wrote: ↑June 23, 2022, 8:17 pmI would like to see more of him. Don’t know why, but I want to go to Brisbane GPS rugby one day. Have a few friends that went to those schools and as a kid who went to a public school in Melbourne I would like to see what the fuss is about!!
Re: 2022 Under 19s State of Origin: Blues V Maroons
Yeah the focus is clearly on Howarth, and Morkos is cheating a little bit and struggling to recover back to his centre
Re: 2022 Under 19s State of Origin: Blues V Maroons
Blues half is playing well, as are the Raiders boys - Morkos got beaten on the outside at least twice though. Don't mind the look of the Maroons hooker too.

Re: 2022 Under 19s State of Origin: Blues V Maroons
For some reason, the teams are being held back from heading out onto the field. Now they're away. Maroons out first. Trey Mooney looks like an angry bull on the way out! The Blues kick off to start the second half. We are back underway.
Immediately, there's a head clash. Both players knocked out by the looks. Maroons Ben Te Kura and Blues Jacob Webster. Both will be out of the game. Webster still on the ground, but Te Kura has left the field already. Now Webster walks off.
Alamoti off with a busted cheek bone.

Why are the Raiders playing Mooney on the edge... He looks every bit the middle, doesn't fit the edge mould at all
