Don’t try and close it out with 35 minutes to go!
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Big call out for Woolford as well, great 40 minutes. Best 40 straight minutes from a Raiders hooker so far this decade (primarily because we rarely leave a hooker out there for 40)?
I must say I think Starlings future isn't looking so great, if Woolford can manage an 80 minute game he may even disappear from the bench.

Feel that first team to score in the 2nd half will win.

Brass monkey weather, missing several players, adds up to all sorts of crazy things

Here we go another 2nd half coming up , we cant score tries in the 2nd half , so give the ball to savage as much as we can as he likes scoring tries and he can turn our 2nd halves around

What exactly have you liked from Fog’s input?

Fogarty doing a lot of the talking in the halftime huddle... that’s the reason why you rush him straight back into the team

I haven’t been too upset with Fogarty either his first few weeks. He might be rusty as hell but he’s very clearly the best halfback at the club.Finchy wrote:What exactly have you liked from Fog’s input?
Not everything he’s doing is garbage, despite what some folks tend to believe.

43rd min TRY RAIDERS to Sebastian Kris! The Corey Horsburgh charge down works! He regathers and charges down field… and Kris is on his outside in support. He runs it around under the posts. Jamal Fogarty converts.
Raiders 18-6

Hors soft belly coming into its own. If he’d done more sit ups and had hard abs that would have ricocheted into the crowd.

46th min Going to the bunker for a Roosters no try. He’s short or it is a double movement. The bunker confirms it is short. NO TRY. Great tackle Savage in the lead up to save the try.

I have to say Xavier Savage has handled absolutely everything they’ve thrown at him here.
Very impressive stuff.

Ennis saying the raiders need more from Cotric. I’ve always considered him a good judge
