Fair old flogging that game.

Obvious to everyone that Finch is well past his used by date as an international cricketer. He'll still be there as captain for the T20 World Cup. Nobody will make the tough call needed to move on.

Absolutely terrible news.

He really was the ultimate cricketer. He could bat well in any format, field incredibly in any position and take wickets bowling spin or pace. And he could catch fish!

I truly loved watching him play, he’d be in a top 5 favourites of all time, if not my favourite. RIP ROY.

Thinking back on some of his best innings…

World Cup Pakistan 2003. Aussies are struggling in the match, Waqar is bowling beamers at him and Ahktar is bowling heat. He blasts 140* and we win.

He does it again the following year against Pakistan, destroys Ahktar again.

ODI vs Sri Lanka in 2006 (I think), an innings with Ponting where they both go ballistic. Maybe at the SCG?

His maiden test Ton, belting Paul Collingwood over the fence and embracing his great mate Matt Hayden down the other end.

What a legend.

Eek. Extremely talented player, fell out with some of the team (well, Michael Clarke, but who didn't fall out with him), but was part of our golden era and probably one of the most gifted athletes we've had in the team.

I watched a bit of it because I've got the man-flu and couldn't sleep. Was pretty boring and the Sri Lankan's seemed to care about it more. They must have had about 5 spin bowlers going at it.

I watched some of the bowling. We were looking really good while I was watching.

You wake up, and Warner has 99 and no 1 else has done much. That's sad. The bloke no 1 expects to score runs, has them. Weird
