Re: NFL Thread
Weird that the 3 remaining NFC teams are also the last 3 teams to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

Re: NFL Thread
Tom Brady and his Bucs in a deep hole heading into the half time break.
Does Tom Brady have another unfathomable comeback in him?
Based on the game so far it's very hard to see it, but he's over come more with less, and against teams that dont turtle up like McVey tends to do.

If the come back occurs, that'll be seen as a key play

Re: NFL Thread
Big result. 17 point deficit still gives TB some hope. A 20 or 24 point deficit may have been a bridge too far.

Re: NFL Thread
That shifted quickly. Key turnover by the Rams and now its a 2 score game going into the last qtr.

Re: NFL Thread
Rams dodge a bullet there with an incredibly dumb personal foul. Literally a split second between the ball hitting the ground and the late hit with the helmet.
Don't think I've ever seen less composure by a team that was leading by 24 points.

Re: NFL Thread
The rams gave the Bucs every chance they could have asked for to climb back into this game and win it
Now it's a ball game... quick three and out and Brady has a chance to tie it up
Evans over Ramsey too. What a play

Re: NFL Thread
McVey and the Rams have been butt clenching this entire half. If they blow this game... goodness me

Re: NFL Thread
That looked like a first down to me. Tough call
Think the Bucs just sneak coming out of the time out and then spike it for 3 plays 2nd and goal

Re: NFL Thread
That time out called by LA on what was 4th down was hilariously dumb

Re: NFL Thread
Looking forward to a rams-9ers rematch. Their week 18 game was excellent
Re: NFL Thread
I didnt think McVey and Stafford had that in them... but kudos to them, they got aggressive and went and took a game they almost blew
Hell of a game
Hit the bricks, Tommy... and also please retire now.

Ugh how do you get beat deep like that
Re: NFL Thread
Perhaps it is time for Tom Brady.
Re: NFL Thread
I’m tipping (and going for) the Bills in this one
Re: NFL Thread
It was time a long **** time ago
But in all seriousness, looking at the Bucs situation for 2022, they wont be able to bring back everyone unless they all agree to take paycuts again to run it back... lot of dudes already did that this year and they're out in the divisional round
Godwin, Lenny Fournette, Jensen, JPP, Whitehead and Davis are all UFA's
Very interesting spot. I predicted coming into this year that it would be Brady's last... he'll probably come back but i think the right move right now is for Brady and Arians to retire
Byron Leftwich takes over and a new era of Bucs football begins

Re: NFL Thread
I'm seeing a lot of Favre / Brady parallels here. Big difference is Favre didn't want to stop playing football while Brady doesn’t want to stop winning. He's proven he can win a Super Bowl without Belichick and New England. He's done that. Now that his goal of going back to back is done he may feel it's time to call stumps. Unless something happens that makes him believe the Buccs can return better next year and be a serious contender. Otherwise they appear to have peaked.Botman wrote: ↑January 24, 2022, 9:42 amIt was time a long **** time ago

The other difference between Farve and Brady, Brady still has football in him. I mean look at his numbers this yr.Northern Raider wrote: ↑January 24, 2022, 10:17 amI'm seeing a lot of Favre / Brady parallels here. Farve was bordering on cooked/ falling apart when he finally called it quits. I wanna say it was a difference era... but Brady lived in both.
Re: NFL Thread
The question for Tom Brady is how does he want to be remembered? He has nothing left to prove. He will have set himself up for many lifetimes financially. Whatever he were to decide, he's been an amazing footballer, perhaps the best of all time in any code.
