QLD were diabolical. Better show some pride at Suncorp.
Re: 2021 State of Origin I: Maroons V Blues
Welch was a big loss but still a disappointing performance from QLD... but of course they will bounce back. I thought the QLD forwards were totally outplayed. We saw NSW dominating the ruck and clearly willing to cop a few 6agains just to slow it down a bit. QLD forwards missing their usual energy and aggression in defence.
Imagine being outcoached by Fittler?

Shoving it in your face since 2017

I enjoy watching them - I know the celebrations rub some the wrong way but I like the energy they bring.GreenMachine wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:16 pmI’ll openly admit I’m envious of the talent they have right across the park..Billy Walker wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:15 pmWe might be losing GreenMachine to the Panthers forum I think....GreenMachine wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:13 pm Yeo is so underrated it’s ridiculous…
Just the perfect 13…
It’s basically a cheat code…
They play football the right way too.

They are going to change the whole way we look at developing lists. If we get a premier with 15 of 17 who came through their academy clubs will learn how important junior development is - for instance they might all put in a Jersey Flegg team.Billy Walker wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:18 pmI enjoy watching them - I know the celebrations rub some the wrong way but I like the energy they bring.GreenMachine wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:16 pmI’ll openly admit I’m envious of the talent they have right across the park..Billy Walker wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:15 pmWe might be losing GreenMachine to the Panthers forum I think....GreenMachine wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:13 pm Yeo is so underrated it’s ridiculous…

Stephen Crichton would be my next choice for centre’s well ahead of Jack. There would be a few others too.Billy Walker wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:20 pmYep - only injury will see him get a start this seriesBay53 wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:18 pmThey made exactly the right call in the positions he might have played.radicalraider wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 9:49 pm Is Jack the first Dally M 6 not to play 6 at rep level lol

I don’t want to give too much weight to superstitions but I think we need a petition for Jack to tape his head every game going forward. Was clearly the difference tonight

What colour is Joey’s hair???????
Re: 2021 State of Origin I: Maroons V Blues
How good is Payne Haas?? He has done some stupid things off field and he is an ordinary side, but he could be one of the great forwards.

Is it his hair ?
Re: 2021 State of Origin I: Maroons V Blues
NSW 50 points is an amazing score line. To keep Qld to 6 was also amazing. The aggressive, 'drive them back' defensive plays were a feature of the NSW performance and stifled the momentum of the Qld side. Two and three Blues all intent on putting the ball carrier in reverse was fantastic to watch. Please take a note Raiders. It is effective at any level of the game and we need to re-discover it. Well done NSW players and coaching team. I have no doubt that Qld will be tougher in Brisbane, but I'm happy to enjoy the moment of the Game 1 win. Go the Blues.

There is Something about Crichton’s game doesn’t transfer to Origin for me…Bay53 wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:22 pmStephen Crichton would be my next choice for centre’s well ahead of Jack. He seems like a flat track bully whereas the guys they pick are usually the types who can handle the rough stuff…

Really?? I think his big body would be totally suited to it.GreenMachine wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:31 pmThere is Something about Crichton’s game doesn’t transfer to Origin for me…Bay53 wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:22 pmStephen Crichton would be my next choice for centre’s well ahead of Jack. How do you reckon Ivan Cleary would be travelling sitting at home listening to all this talk about what a great job Freddy has done moulding this team....

He’s more finesse rather than toughness
Guys like Wighton, Turbo, To’o and Mitchell put their heads where we wouldn’t put our feet… they’re tough buggers…
I don’t think from what I’ve seen of Crichton, that he plays the same way…
Great player though..

For some odd reason teams seem to go better with Danamus Lui in them.

Funny after all the carry on about high hits, you get 34 of the best players together and it barely raises a ripple. The hit of Feldt on Murray was the only controversial one.
Perhaps the game as we know it is not dead after all.

He played one game last year and the gap between the sides was very similar to tonight.Billy Walker wrote: ↑June 9, 2021, 10:44 pm For some odd reason teams seem to go better with Danamus Lui in them.
As it should be in every game between these two current sides. But it won’t be, Qld will find something.

There was a definite sin bin moment there with Feldt…and Munster is lucky to not be marched for kicking Martin..,
Wasn’t refereed like NRL and to be honest i was happy with it..
