JAC gets six, the first time in 71 years. Benji’s defence not looking good there. No team has won a premiership having conceded 50 points in a regular season game.

Red line through Souths for the premiership. It’s the dreaded 50.

I had a habit of dropping the ball over the try line or having it knocked out by the defence.

Funny thing is a few times the ref awarded it much to the complaints of the defending team, but a few other times no one even noticed at all but I felt the ball drop out of my fingers as I was putting it down and waiting for the no try ruling.

This was pre video ref for league watchers and no one looked too hard at put downs at any level of the game, I imagine they’d be tries by pre 90s Raiders players that with high quality cameras wouldn’t have been awarded. I remember a few 70s and 80s tries that clearly look like the player never got the ball down and the commentators didn’t even mention it.

Geez I hate it when an attacking player is tackled and a teammate of the attacking player just starts dragging a tackler off. It should be an instant penalty but I see it far too often these days.

Who are we **** kidding, honestly.

Panthers and Storm are so far ahead of us at this stage that comparisons are pointless. One of them two are winning it again this season - we wouldn't have been in the race, even at our best.

Try to Kikau. He breathed heavily on the ball ... and we have downward pressure!

Man watching teams cop floggings has worn me down. We wanted attrition but it’s not what we’ve got!!

I thought I would enjoy more attacking footy but points just don’t feel ‘earned’ at the moment. Maybe that will come later, but these demolitions are hard to watch

That Kikau try should never have been allowed. That has been a knock on in rugby league for over 100 years. The referees and bunker officials are completely absorbed in technicalities. They never apply commonsense, and the constantly come up with the wrong calls as a result.

The way the Panthers carried on at the end of that game, it was as if they won the Grand Final. I really, really hope that at least the Storm can beat them.

I think it's fairly clear and unanimous, that if you prefer wrestling over attacking football you are a terrible person.

I think the footy is fantastic. Yes there are blowouts, but if teams aren’t good enough, why should the rules help them.

I prefer rugby league than watching players walk to a scrum that we all know the result of before it has happened.

They said on Fox that the Eels game is sold out - if that is sold out I will eat my hat, the upper level is empty. But how good does the atmosphere look when they can do the flickering of the lights when the Eels score?

Brilliant stadium.

Correction: walk to the scrum and then 26 players stand around watching the 'shot' clock wind down.

Exactly. It stands to reason that if the ball is in play more, the better team is probably going to score more points.

If we made the game 5 min halves, every game would still be a contest going into the last 10 mins.
