Watching The Sunday Footy Show... Brad Fittler reading the rule on off side... saying that the Cowboys were definitely off side for their final try.

The relevant interpretation is: "A player is offside if he has one foot (either on or off the ground) in front of a teammate who ‘last touches, is touched, held or kicked the ball’. Section 14 (1)

(I might be wrong, but mentions Annesley in quoting the rule interpretation, seemed to suggest that Annesley supplied it to him... Fittler seemed to be reading off a text.)

I'm not blowing up over the bunker not intervening... it is a tough call... but I can see why Fittler would say he's offside. His left foot does look to be in front. I'm now in two minds...

It'll be hard to lose a second game in the opening seven, if Annesley tells us tomorrow it should have been disallowed.

In any case, the Raiders were the masters of their own destinies yesterday. No injury excuse this week. They gave up an 18 point lead.

I mentioned this in the Croker thread, but how do you think the playing group feel about the Lui, Papalli, Solioa and Tapine droppings against the backdrop of Croker’s performances?
Our shortfalls around fitness and lacklustre outside backs aside, you can’t drive high standards when accountability is subjectively applied to certain players.
Some of these guys are just gassed due to poor interchange management...
All aside, we’re struggling under the 6 again rule this season.

I'm guessing from Ricky's perspective he sees the depth we have in the forward pack and feels he can drop some players. We don't have that same luxury in the outside backs. We drop Croker, and TBF Scott should be dropped as well, but then you're bringing in two very young players. That strategy is going really bad for the **** Broncos.

Sticking with the experience isn't going so great for us.

We're bad but so far not Broncos bad.

Interesting stat I heard last night was the last time we lost 3 in a row....was 2019. Thing is I don’t remember us having pea hearts that year like this year. Time will tell whether we can turn this mess around.

I can't believe how much the first half is being talked up. The Cowboys were really poor - we'd have been doing well to lead by less than 12 at the break.

Absolutely regarding playing off our halfback. When George was playing on the ruck last year we went to another level. Parking him on the right while waiting for the hooker to involve him does nothing for our team.
