Dude at this stage is a winger and nothing else. He may become a quality centre one day. May. Right now though, he's a rep level winger and a run of the mill NRL centre at best.
I'll admit to advocating trying Cotric at fullback. Then I saw him play fullback and decided it was a bad idea. I was subsequently quiet on the subject of him playing centre. Then I saw him play centre and was happy I didn't make the same mistake twice.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

We needed a FB and he was the boom winger, teenager who had handled every other challenge with aplomb. Made sense to see if he also had the nouse and skills to grow into FB, as he was a very good decision maker on the winger. Turns out he said himself he didn't really fancy it after only 1-2 games iirc.
I still think Cotric could be a good centre. Put him at centre in a top 4 team and he'd be a real handful. Weird he's playing right also when he was an excellent left winger who has a great right hand fend. I just don't think he's a good enough centre to overcome playing on the opposite side, learning his trade in a very poor team.
But he's already a v good winger and arguably more involved in the game that way- especially since kicking it out is going to be less common now. He's a pretty strong kick returner.
Yeah i dont think that was some massive scandal that people wanted to trial a young dynamic back at fullback and/or centre in lost seasons when the young dynamic back had played fullback and centre through the junior grades and we had holes to fill in those key areas.
That was also very early on his in career, and after getting little tastes at those spots it became clear he was a specialist winger, and that's fine. But i would never shy away from trialing things like that in those circumstances. You lose nothing if they dont pan out

We did trial him though, in both positions. Fans still wanted him there afterwards, even though he wasn't very good in both.
In terms of Nick he has been playing in a strong team for a long time now and with the dogs he is expected to make the magic on his own
Dogs are also a very different club then ours, our team love hanging out together away from training, they have bbqs, they play golf, going swimming etc.
Dogs players dont do that, so the players aren't as tight and it shows on the field
Thats why brenko struggled there and nick is too.
In terms of nami, he will work it out. He isnt that young anymore and its taking him a bit longer to build up stamina
The other boys will help him too
Well, I have no qualms about admitting to being incredibly smug about Cotric. So, is that extra $150,000 a season really worth losing all your rep jerseys and battling in a **** team for the wooden spoon?
Being a really good winger was easier in a really good backline, wasn't it?
Wonder how long before he comes crawling back with his tail between his legs after his contract value tanks...

Anyway, to get back on topic, I will be quite gutted if the new rules turn out to have made the game too fast for Nami. I have loved him and been a big defender of him for years and I was absolutely thrilled when he turned out to be one of our biggest stars last year. I would love to see him end his career here but only if we can give him a proper ending.
