Canberra Raiders legend Ricky Stuart honoured with tree planting at National Arboretum Canberra

Ricky Stuart is the 12th person chosen to plant a tree in the Australian Hero section of the National Arboretum, a hoop pine that can live for 450 years and grow to 60 metres.

"I don't really believe that," he said, of being an Australian hero."But, being a local boy and having that honour makes it even more special. I was quite taken aback."

But can he throw a 30 metre spiral pass either side?

Of course he bloody can. He's Ricky Stuart.

Onya Ricky. Legend.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Congratulations Sticky, celebrate by getting trunk. He'll be barking at the players now. He's branching out into other fields.

His commitment and dedication to the local community has been a genuine point of pride for the club since he's come on board. Really helped connect the club back to it's community. The way he speaks about these local honours really reinforce this.

Congrats to Stick. Worthy recipiant

Not even top 50 imo.
Every impassioned plea for the club to move on from Glenn Buttriss or Josh McCrone was better... so yeah, probably not even top 20,000

Fair point. But how about best comment that doesn’t include any Raiders spine player since 1998.
