Re: 2020 NRL Finals Week 3: Teams and Game Day
I reckon if you took the worst squad out of those 4 teams, they’d still beat the Broncos 9 out of 10 times
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Re: 2020 NRL Finals Week 3: Teams and Game Day
Not so much the "worst" squad, but 4th ranked player in position.
1. Allan
2. Valemei
3. Lee
4. Olam
5. Paulo
6. Luai
7. Hughes
8. Tatola
9. Starling
10. Welch
11. Su'A
12. Sironen
13. NAS
14. Nicholls
15. Lui
16. Cartwright
17. Koloamantagi
That team would still destroy the broncos

Yup. This is a concept that could be run to keep more TV content going, and punish the Broncos players. Make it happen, Batman.-TW- wrote:Not so much the "worst" squad, but 4th ranked player in position.

This is going to be a high scoring game
Re: 2020 NRL Finals Week 3: Teams and Game Day
Penrith looking far more likely. South's hanging in there.

There's a hell of a lot of forward passes in this game.
Re: 2020 NRL Finals Week 3: Teams and Game Day
Only two points in it. I'd prefer a Storm V Rabbitohs Grand Final now. By a long way. And the Storm winning it. Which is an awful thing to say. They are all disgusting teams left in contention.

Yeo great run picking out the lazy markers

That’s probably it, probably Panthers win. They are so obnoxious.

Phil Gould is an absolute punish to listen to.
Channel 9 coverage is unwatchable.

That high shot on Knight would have been a penalty any other time

Well bunnies made a better fist of it than we did. Sure hope Smith loses now.
Re: 2020 NRL Finals Week 3: Teams and Game Day
Great game. Congratulations Penrith. Well deserved.
Re: 2020 NRL Finals Week 3: Teams and Game Day
Cracking contest. Personally I'm delighted the Panthers won; I do not like Souths at all. Walker was great for them, though. Penrith have the best halves pairing in the comp for me. Just hope they can keep up their run and finish off the Storm.
When Cleary put up that short chip kick they scored from, the first thought I had was, George can do that too! And he has.
Just on wingers; in my head I always bracket Mansour and Rapana together, I see them as similar players. But To'o on the other winger is better than anyone Canberra have at the moment.
An ex Wigan and Penrith player lives just round the corner from me; I'm sure he will be delighted.

Whatever. We can agree to differ. Of course I don't have the dog in the fight you do.
