There's a reason Robbo dropped him. He just isn't very good. It helps when the rest of the team are all champion players

Easy on, he is a 22 year old halfback playing his first full season of first grade. I think he has been poor this past few weeks but given the experience/age/covid I can totally understand.

Velemi was very strong. I had my doubts on him but Ricky made the right pick for wing!
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

His first half hit-ups were crucial.

I loved his confidence to take the ball.

Impressed by Robinson in the presser. In the past he's come across as a bit of an dick when things don't go their way. Tonight he's owning the loss. Not making any excuses.

He's a weapon. Could be one of the games best fullbacks. A bit wasted stuck on one side.

Nah, just collected on Paps. Don't think there's a way to back 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Every team regularly makes the same defensive errors against him. He's infuriatingly good. They're so anxious to get hands on him and over chase that the line loses cohesion and he's strong enough to keep the ball free back on the inside.

That's a bit of a stretch......but I will concede he was decent in the presser.
The Chookpen not so much. Blaming Klein, basically.

I was surprised we didn't cop a penalty with that CNK tackle on Morris late in the match, but with all the calls that go for and against us (especially the infamous '6 again' call last year) I am happy to class it as part of the game of Rugby League. For a minute there I though Chance was going to sway Klein into penalising us as he was acting apologetic and with care!

MATCH REPORT: Canberra Raiders master SCG to knockout Sydney Roosters

Cometh the hour, cometh the Papalii. Or is it the Williams? Or the Nicoll-Klokstad? Or the Tapine? Or the Wighton? Well cometh the entire Green Machine then. They've become the masters of the SCG with a 22-18 victory over the Sydney Roosters on Saturday night.

Papalii was immense. So too was Joe Tapine in the middle. But none so more than fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad. He ran a whopping 253 metres, made a linebreak, three tackle busts and a try save - somehow he wasn't credited with two.

CANBERRA RAIDERS 22 (Josh Papalii, George Williams, Joe Tapine, Jack Wighton tries; Jarrod Croker 3 goals) bt SYDNEY ROOSTERS 18 (James Tedesco 2, Joseph Manu tries; Kyle Flanagan 3 goals) at the SCG. Referee: Ashley Klein. Crowd: 18,110.

Canberra Raiders survive contentious bunker call to down Sydney Roosters in thriller

Joseph Manu was awarded a contentious try midway through the second half, after the Bunker analysed a possible double movement.

After brushing off some flimsy defence, Manu was pulled down from behind by Croker and appeared to promote the ball fractionally while attempting to score a try.

Woooo! I thought that was the game we were going to get bundled out in, but we're still here!

Wouldn't it be something if we went all the way despite the horrific injury toll. It's now a distinct possibility in my mind, but some pretty tough games ahead. GF, lets go!

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.
