He saved us two tries early (great tackle on norman, then good read on grubber), then he cost us two. The second one was not pretty. He's 6 games in so I'm not that concerned with his play. But I'm not sold that he has the speed and athletic ability to go with his strength. He might make a good back up.Hong Kong Raider wrote: ↑September 12, 2020, 3:43 pmNeed to be gentle with your comments here. He should be playing centre for us like he will be next year for the bulldogs. It’s just our coaches stubbiness why he isn’t.1992 wrote:What do you people want? $650 000 for a winger. Than most players on our team want more.
He is going be winning the wooden spoon next year. Canterbury are beyond garbage, their attack is nearly as bad as ours.

Our 1-4 have been terrible. Jordy has been good, but the rest are bad.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

We are being smacked in the backline. We need more than Papalii + Tapine play good
Re: 2020 Rd 18 V Dragons: Game Day
If Semi plays man not ball he breaks Ramsay in two because he has to stop and put his hands up trying to catch the floater. Wasn't anything special from Dufty.

Semi has made a few errors, but some of these comments about our backline are pretty off the mark.
I think our cohesion in attack is looking as good as it has in a long while. We are shooting ourselves in the foot with a few errors but there are some great signs there IMO.

Solution is, get an offensive coach. Ricky just likes the bash up the middle!
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

We should be able to play the game in the Dragon's end for most of the 2nd half, strong wind,I only hope we don't give a heap of 7 tackle sets because of it with ill measured kicks, almost better to just keep running it on the last with the wind.
One day the Raiders and the Cats win the same year and make my head explode!!

NRL will milk any moment for all it is worth. Sick of this kid already. He just put the ball over the line.
He might need a Matt Nable promo all to himself.

I like his speed and athleticism. But decision making is a 1/10 right now

Re: 2020 Rd 18 V Dragons: Game Day
I don't think we've been quite as horrible in the back 5 as people are claiming either. CNK's been reasonably solid, Raps obviously quite good, Cotric came up with that big intercept play, Semi's had a couple of really good trysavers, forced an error, general good play and then also made a couple of errors and bad defensive reads, and I see Croker's back in the no-man's land of "if he doesn't pass, he's **** and needs to pass/if he does pass and it doesn't stick, it's obviously because he's ****" again. But I think he's been fairly solid. And obviously, his goal-kicking - against the wind I might add - has been a big difference. This would be a tighter game if he missed any (or if Lomax could kick).

Also though, I loved Jack's big booming kicks in the first half, but with the wind behind him in the second, I'm worried his radar will be out of whack and Sia might have to go for a swim to fetch the ball!

Semi hits hard and has good hit ups. He also defused some attacking kicks. It's his positioning and lack of judgment in attack and defence that's the problem.

I don’t get it either mate.
He isn’t a top 3 fullback but he is not a weakness by any stretch.

Re: 2020 Rd 18 V Dragons: Game Day
I personally think our cohesion and play is building nicely just before the finals.
However, we’re making too many errors and we have a few players not in form/up to standard.
