I've been working in this industry/area for going on 11 years now, and its a joke of an area. Anyway, an opportunity arose for me to branch out and use my knowledge across other areas. I thought it'd be great, I'd get out of this bubble I've been in, and get to see how other areas work.

8 months into the new gig, a restructure happened, and I've found myself supporting the area I tried to get out of. It was ok at first, but over the last month its started to wear on me.

I know I should be grateful at this time that I have work etc, but that doesn't help the feeling that I've spent about two of those 11 years trying to get out and develop my skillset to help me move out, and when I finally do, Im back in again.
Almost like a message from the universe. I got the call that they're taking me away from the area I've been supporting to help out with a backlog in another area I was enjoying last year.

even I've had some wind removed from my sails with the grind of covid, just pushed myself constantly with work and home to the point I got flattened by an ear infection not treated which got into my neck glands so now missed 2 days of work which I haven't done for many years (outside of shoulder operation)

That sucks mate. Hope you're feeling better now. Must be the season for infections.
I had a sebaceous cyst right near the business end of my left pec. Having never had one I thought it was something minor (in grown or something). Didn't realize it was infected.
That was one painful needle and that wick hurts like a mother when they remove it and insert a new one into the wound.

Yes very painful to get drained. Had one in my armpit a few years back.

**** that business haha. That's probably even more sensitive and even harder to avoid the wick friction on the wound.

Teenagers eh ?

My nephew(15) has been returned to his home twice by police in the past month. Climbing out the window at ungodly hours to "meet-up" with local girls down the park.

Funny thing is..where he is doesn't have a 24hr police station/presence and his suburb is only patrolled once a day for 15mins. And he's been caught twice..

Nothing has changed over 100yrs mate, young..dumb..and full of..... :hi

Growing up playing footy one of my mates went on to a decent career, stuck behind Harragon and co at the knights he joined the tigers in 98 played 20 games mainly off the bench then went to England and played 340 games across 14 seasons making an English squad but not final team under David Waite.
Anyway he's still over there and whilst I was researching Harry Rushton I spotted one of his son's in the england academy team, seems both of his son's are in ESL clubs.

Who's your mate boner ?

Just on Harragon..I played against him in juniors. He was playing for Lakes and PJ for Macquarie.

"Chief"was a winger back then. I'm thinking 85/86?
