Canberra Raiders centre Curtis Scott may be heading to Canterbury Bulldogs

Just days after securing the services of Nick Cotric, the Bulldogs look set to swoop on another Canberra Raider, Curtis Scott, says The Australian's Brent Read.

As Brent Read says, you got to wonder why clubs are paying other clubs to take him off their books.

Please let this be true. It would almost be worth losing Cotric if they take Scott too.

Its making sense, take a hit with Scott - pay out a bit if must. Bring in Rona. Planets need to align but that would be grand.

If this actually happens, Its safe to believe we've become a competent football club for the first time since the mid 90s

Brent Read is a decent journo so this should have some legs. If we can get rid of him then do it, get it done. If we're recruiting for his position, let's make sure the guy has some speed this time.

Can't imagine we'd be bending over backwards with his impending court case. Either way, the club might be happy enough to write off his contract if it means moving on without disruption.

Hopefully some desperate club takes a punt on him. His form has been atrocious.

Agree but I’m also happy to run with HSS and keep our powder dry for the inevitable G Williams upgrade.

If he goes, he’s unquestionably one of the worst 5 signing in raiders history.

A disastrous situation and if we can get out of it, that would probably be best for us

Worst 5? I'm thinking top 2 along side Orford.

I’m thinking too 2. Him and Orford are the only players I can think of who didn’t see out their first year with us, let alone their contract
Feel free to call me RickyRicky StickStick if you like. I will also accept Super Fui, King Brad, Kid Dynamite, Chocolate-Thunda... or Brad.

Yeah I was talking to friends about this last night

I personally have Craig Frawley and Matt Orford in a tier of their own... Orford is self explanatory but for me, Frawley was an out and out fraud.
He was here to collect cheque’s and imo one of few people im willing to say didn’t try
He was a disgrace

But that might just be me.
The other three I mentioned were Scott, Rua and Bickerstaff
Scott probably #3 for me if he never plays another game

Yeah good call on Frawley. Definitely in the upper echelons of worst signings

Yeah I don't think Scott belongs in Orford's tier. It probably feels like that because he's the freshest in memory and our standards have lifted, but putting him along Awful just isn't right IMO. He's on his lonesome there.

Rua doesn't count IMO. Otherwise you have to include Tedesco

Matt Orford was doing well at Bradford until he was enticed away. Bradford were sent Marc Herbert as a replacement.

I don't care what Orford did or didn't do at the Raiders. Bradford got the worst end of that deal.

I might be misremembering it but Teddy pulled out like 2 weeks later
Rua pulled out a long time after the fact and basically left us high and dry
I was also super into Matt Rua, was so pumped to have him and then

Interview says Storm are paying part of his salary this year and next. So we wouldn't need to chip in much.

If we arent going to get the best out of Scott then this is a good move.

And if we play Bateman in the centres when he gets back with CHN in the backrow then the writing is on the wall.

There is a reason for this news outside of his form. He is a destabilising influence on the club and needs to be gone yesterday.

Ricky is taking action, and rightfully so.

Billy Tupou was pretty bad also...He had 2 or 3 good games at the end but he was terrible for the most part.

1. Orford

Yeah that's a good call. God he was ****.
He probably should come in place of Rua if we're eliminating players who never pulled on the jersey.

Whilst I agree Frawley and Orford are up there, what they don't have on Scott is the off-field dramas and apparent ability to destabilise the dressing room, therefore making Scott probably number 1 on my list.
