It was a disaster having Anthony Milford leave the Raiders. Buzz just mentioned Milford probably wouldn’t get a starting spot at the Raiders.

On current form I wouldn’t trade Wighton or CNK to have him back.
That's an indictment on what the Broncos have done to him. He was a prodigious talent.
For once in our miserable lives I agree with you, old friend. It’s criminal what the broncos did to Milford, he was seriously a once in a generation player that they simply overpaid, fattened up and coached all the brilliance out of.

Our plan with Milford was to always get him the ball in space, Brisbane have always given him the ball and asked him to make the space/play. Completely against his strengths.

Hes very shaun johnsonesque, get him in an environment with a dominant half that pulls the strings and just let's them inject when they want and they are near untouchable

You’ll definitely want to change your mind Doc because I must agree with you both. I’ll also lay some of the blame on Milford though, ego, complacency, laziness, I guess that’s also on the Broncos for allowing it.

Slightly off topic, but funny how a lot of these comments also apply to Dugan...

I actually enjoy seeing what Dugan has become, but even though I can't stand the Broncos, I'm a little bit disappointed for Milford.

Would've loved to see him fulfill his potential... at the Raiders.

Dugan has had a pretty good last month. Getting injured far less. Must be playing for something like not getting dropped for Ramien.

I thought I saw somewhere that there was talk of him moving on from the Sharks.

Boy, it would be good if the Broncos got him.

They are looking to move him on to accommodate Ramien. I know you're making a joke but he would improve their side at fullback. No way they can afford him though. Sharks are paying him big coin.

I'd have loved for him to stay here. If he was tearing it up I'd be a bitter, bitter man. Moreso.

Not sure if same article (I don't have DT subscription), but here's one from Fox Sports
A pub patron who sat next to Milford as he played the pokies asked him what time he was playing the next day.

“I knew the game started at 4pm but Milford turned to me and said: ‘I think it’s at six, eh’. He wasn’t taking the piss, he was dead set,” the source said.

Ironically Broncos players often have their own Personally owned poker machines at their licenced club that other people visit and lose money at.

Who'd have thought Jacky Boi would be doing better than both Austin and Milford playing 5/8th, and that we wouldn't miss either of them?

It's such a shame. Such an extraordinary talent. One good year at the Donkeys and he has significantly regressed. Would have loved to watch him play out his career in green.

Right now he's the beneficiary of a big contract based on 5 year old form. Wouldn't be in 1st grade otherwise.

I still say the 2015 grand final ruined both he and Ben Hunt's careers.

I genuinely believe if the broncos had held on for just thirty more seconds then Hunt and Milford would still be at the Broncos and would currently be the Queensland halves.

Nice alternate reality theory but I'm not buying it. Those guys have had full control of their destiny since then.

Yeah I'm not so sure.

He was excellent in that grand final, but my recollection of him early in that season was that he was fat and slower. He's been poor ever since.

I'm not sure what his weight is but the eyeball test says he is heavier and as a result slower than when he was with us. I'm not sure if that was a ploy of the Broncos to beef him up, or an all you can eat ticket to the pie shop on Caxton Street, but he is far inferior player as a result.

I've said it once, i'll say it 1000 more times
The code or RL needs to convene some sort of Nuremberg style trial to bring to justice people who have committed egregious crimes agianst the game of Rugby League.

First on the docket is the Brisbane Broncos for what they've done to Anthony Milford. This was one of the most skillful, incredibly talented footballers who had so much creativity and skill and they've coached every **** ounce of it out of him and turned him into a ball distributing robot.

He was Kayln Ponga before anyone knew who Ponga was, imagine for a second now if in 2 years time Ponga was just some catch and pass game managing half? That's what this god forsaken club has done to Milford

Those responsible should be fired, chucked in stocks and allow the RL loving public to pelt them with fruit for the rest of their days.

Bulked up to play 5/8 but just made him fat and slow, with no agility.

Looks slimmer this year but the team is a dumpster fire

The try he scored for the Raiders where he burned Lui off a scrum will forever be etched in my brain.
Supercoach Bennett, he took the 2 most exciting players in the comp and destroyed them, James Roberts and Anthony Milford forever a stain.

I don’t think James ‘I’ll try and beat him for pace’ Roberts has ever been one of the most exciting players, especially once he’s been an exclusive right centre. He’s fast with not much skill imo.
