Let this be a reminder to everyone who thinks there shouldn’t be a video ref... they’re idiots.

Is it dodging a bullet if you don’t show up to the gun fight?

Timoko and Smith-Shields look the good them and Oldfield will be good depth for our backs. Unfortunately Valemei looked a bit out of his depth

Canberra Raiders young gun Harley Smith-Shields shines in NRL Nines

It's nine hours of flights for just 36 minutes of football, but for Harley Smith-Shields it was all worth it.

"That's definitely always the goal every year [to play NRL]. That's why we're all here. That's where we're all trying to get to," Smith-Shields said. "I'll just do the best I can wherever they put me. I'll hopefully play this trial [Mounties V Penrith Panthers] on the weekend and get back to work."

Same thing hey, the team's that played their first graders will be quicker on the draw.
I've seen what happened in 2017 and 2018. I'm skeptical, especially against the wooden spooners, at home, on a Friday night free to air to start the season.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Canberra Raiders blue shirt Michael Ennis gets in on the NRL Nines action with a cheeky reach to stop a runaway Dane Gagai

Canberra Raiders trainer Michael Ennis joined in on the fun of the NRL Nines by pretending to stop Rabbitohs’ winger Dane Gagai as he took off down the sideline.

Reckon Timoko looks a lot more advanced than Valemei and looks a genuine centre which we might need given the current predicament.
