The amount of people you see on mopeds wearing shorts and a t-shirt is staggering - or skirts/dresses. Bitumen isn't so forgiving.

I saw a bloke in Hunter St Newcastle on a Vespa. He had a carton of beer between his feet and a surfboard tucked under his arm..
I'm a long time motorcyclist, t-shirt or shorts only in extreme circumstances but never ever without proper gloves or shoes.
Falling off hurts, hands and feet don't heal like the rest of the body.

Only in Newcastle. I used to pop up there quite a bit in my old job. Do they still have the barber/bar place there?

I'm not sure Fui. TBH I don't go into Newy very often. When I was was a young fella I was in there making a douche of myself all the time. But over the years the city has change dramatically...and for the worse. They stopped the train, dug up the tracks and have this light rail set up now. It's been up and running for a year now give or take and I haven't even been on it.

The restaurant/bar scene is still very good I suppose..it's all about the coffee now right ?

Gone are the days where you'd meet friends for 12 schooners. It's all lap tops and lattes now..

It's definately un-Australian.

The top end of Newy is vibrant but people outside the city have no reason to go there other than the beach..massive shopping centres elsewhere so why bother.

The V8s are fantastic for the city though..

Newcastle for me growing up was Anti-Sydney, the best thing about Sydney was the f3.
Now Newcastle city is full of Sydney wannabes, latte sipping man bun wearing tossers.
Sydney and Brisbane trying to be like Melbourne.

Mrs gerg might get the best two minutes of her life tonight. What time does the footy finish tonight?

We (she) bought some flowers to give to our daughters, so we're instilling these terrible expectations on our daughters at an early age.

I'm not sure, hope that helps.

I'm still wondering if the Rugby league annual came out last year, I usually buy it but GE hasn't notified the GH yet.

Valentines Day. The 1 day of the year people can send chocolates and flowers to someone, call themselves a “Secret Admirer” and be considered romantic, and not a stalker
