Just bought an Xbox One X with RDR2 and For a for $499 at JB. Going home to set it up now!

Well as usual, Xbox feels weird compared to PS4. But **** me the graphics the One X produces. I'm astounded.

You get a bounty if some clown walks in front of your horse and gets bowled over

Like seriously?

A few mishaps have caused some pretty funny bounties for me

Tried to mount my horse, which is the same button as tackling an innocent bystander - Bounty
Had a friendly chat with an NPC who offered me their herbs to pick, which apparently is the same button as choke - Bounty

enjoying this game so far though!

Story should have ended when Arthur died. Having to play farm boy for half a day to get the final credits was pretty lame IMO.

Those of you with Xboxes - if you haven't seen it they're doing a 'first month' discount for Xbox Game Pass. $1. It's the Netflix of gaming, for those playing along at home.

There's some good stuff on there, been using it a bit while I'm on break. I completed Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice, the Life is Strange games, and a couple of little platformers. Ori is in there as well, as well as all of the Halo games and a bunch of other first party stuff.

I was pretty 'meh' towards game pass before I tried it, but it really is astounding value at $11 a month. I am going to let it lapse, but just because I've got a bunch of other titles to work through... I will be back!

Thoroughly recommend "Control", Remedy's new game. I'm not too far into it, but its a blast.

Picture yourself as an adult Eleven (from Stranger Things), in a government building running through a story that's somewhere in between The X-Files and Warehouse 13.

Worth mentioning that the graphics are amazing, but you'll want to be on PC, Xbox One X or PS4 Pro - I hear its a bit too demanding at times for the entry-level consoles and runs poorly on them.

I’ve been playing Control, pretty difficult - I had to get my gamer son to beat one of the bosses for me - but fun, runs fine on my original PS4, can’t recall any issues

Surprised there's been no mention of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, there's lots of Star Wars fans on TheGH, and this game is rather excellent.

EA Star Wars games are generally poor fare, this one deserves the acclaim its getting. Anybody that's a Star Wars fan and has the hardware to play it should definitely give it a go.

Recommended for PC and the top-tier consoles - the base consoles from 2013 can struggle a bit, I hear. That's the curse of graphically-amazing games late in the generation.

Yeah, I’ve seen nothing but good reviews on this one, am thinking of getting it myself. Apparently the story is amazing.

I've not touched the PS4 in ages. Recently upgraded to the Pro and doing a bit of catch up on the games. A fair way though Far Cry 5 and Red Dead Redemption is next.

Begrudgingly toiling away between FIFA 18 and Fallout 4

Will spend a few hours hunting down some big achievements then move onto the next thing. Will be hunting through Xbox Game Pass...

I just started playing Star Wars Battlefront II on PS4 again. With all the new DLC and new game modes it's really worth a look (or a revisit) for anyone who's a Star Wars fan.

It's really developed into an outstanding game.

It’s pretty awesome. It’s an online game, but you don’t need a PSN account to play it.

I’m only on Ep 1, but you’re basically a courier doing deliveries across the US. You don’t see other people playing the game, but your actions impact others. So for example, I can set up a climbing rope for others to use when they get to the same point as me. If someone else takes it, it’s gone for the other players.

Not only that, apparently as the game progresses, you start building roads and buildings that other players can use. So you might not have all the supplies to build the thing yourself, but you donate what you can, and you get credit for helping the build.

You can also stick signs up, warning of enemies nearby, offering tips etc. It’s different to anything else I’ve played
