Just watching Field of Dreams on Fox Classics for the umpteenth time. It is one of my favourite all time movies. Surely on of the best sports films ever. I wish someone would make a film of the 1989 Premiership... that was even just almost as good. That film is 30 years old and just as good as ever.

Watched money ball and draft day this week - love a good sports movie!
Mrs PJ works in home care. She has easy days..like taking a client to a doctors appointment, shopping or something as easy as a home visit where all the client wants is company. Most"jobs"have a 1-2 hour window. She also deals with what she calls "welfare visit"..medication, showering, meal prep and wound dressing..not pretty most of the time but necessary...
So..today she visited a client for the first time. An elderly woman in her 80s who'd just had major knee surgery. No dementia..just on crutches and basically inoperable.
Mrs PJ turns up and is welcomed in..all good.
She's a hoarder, big time. There's crap stacked ceiling high throughout the house and there's only a 2foot wide walkway to move around. Imagine it. She moves around the house on an office chair, scooting from room to room along this very narrow"runway". This is a 4 bedroom home and every room is chockers..
The home is generally clean if you get my drift..but ya can't swing a cat..

The bushfires that have caused so much damage and death across this state continue to burn. There's a few within cooooee of boneys place right now and even though my little corner of LakeMac is not under threat there is fires burning out of control in Awaba and Martinsville.
Yes..a fair distance from my home but the smoke is intense. I just went outside to drag my bins to the kerb and there's ash on my car.
Be safe people..

Yep it’s pretty mental right up and down the coast. I keep heading into the garage in the morning and have the stick of smoke in there... we have the big ones out west blowing straight at us at the moment.
Been caught up in this Jetstar fiasco.
So Im flying to Port Douglas on the 3rd, flying back on the 10th.
Got an email from Jetstar that my 4:25pm flight on the 10th has been moved to 9am on the 10th. Alternatives are 7am on the 10th or 9am on the 11th.
7 and 9am don't work, because the earliest airport shuttle I can book is 11am. The one on the 11th doesn't workm because I need to be home on the 10th.
QANTAS has a 4pm flight on the 10th, so if I can book that, no harm no foul. However, Jetstar takes 3 - 5 days to refund, and it'll be in the form of a voucher. Voucher can only be used with Jetstar.
Waiting for a call back from a supervisor to see what they can offer.
Feel free to call me RickyRicky StickStick if you like. I will also accept Super Fui, King Brad, Kid Dynamite, Chocolate-Thunda... or Brad.
