Worst that could happen is that he never makes it.
Best case, he is the 2nd coming

This series is just for Warner to get his eye in before PAK and NZ arrive.

On another note- I'm hearing PNG have qualified for the next T20 WC.

I'm surprised more players don't have time off tbh

It's such a mentally demanding sport at any level, let alone with all the scrutiny that elite players get through the media

I'd select him in tests if he batted like Dizzy.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Got a feeling Harris might hold his spot by default at this stage.

Burns still not totally convincing, though a timely 77. Uzi is running out of chances. Both have one more dig, probably, in this Rd. Then it's 1 more Shield Rd and the Paki warm up game.

Labu failed for what seems like the war time in ages. Well played mate, get that out of the way.

Bangers, SMarsh and Stoinis failed in the 2nd dig. BUT, Stoinis got Uzi and Labu plus Gannon with the ball. Interestingly, Cartwright also picked up 3 for, and Bangers got Wildermuth.

Big Wood got 6 for in the 2nd vs SA. Sayers was MOTM with 13 wickets and 47 in the 2nd dig. Head fell for 29 after a 100 in the 1st.

That Cameron Green from WA is an interesting prospect. Coming out of the blue in a similar way to Agar IMO. Looks a bowling allrounder, but, at 20, he has:
1st class - batting - 9 games, 13 innings, 3 not outs, Avg 37.6, best 121*, 1x 100 and 1x 50
bowling - 15 innings, 28 wickets @ 21.53 with a 3.12 economy, 2x 5 wicket hauls.

One to watch

He’s always been world class with a white ball.

Red ball not so much though.

Anyone noticed Starc's action has changed slightly? Hard to describe, but the bowling arm is appearing more controlled.

I have heard that mentioned before. Cant remember if it was on TV or an interview with Starc himself, but it has been tweaked slightly.

His arm is tucked in and lower when he loads up, he's more slingy now

Shafiq and Babar getting plenty of batting in against Australia A. Rock solid against the good balls and punishing the bad ones.

Babar in particular could be poised to really break out at test level. He's one to watch in the upcoming series.

Good news is Neser has looked pretty good. Need him to get a few more wickets so there's no excuse for picking Siddle ahead of him.

He has always been a talented batsmen, but had too much Afridi about him. Has tempered that, and looks a heap better. His transition has been a bit Warner-esque.

I think good is debatable given the score. But I would never pick Siddle, even if the analytics suggest otherwise.

Neser was the guy giving them most trouble. He bowled with swing and accuracy. Richardson was getting plenty of movement but didn't have his line right. No idea why Meredith was picked. He's far too wayward and should be several other quicks ahead of him in the pecking order.

That sounds like a fair assessment.
