I've found it difficult to cheer for Kangaroos in recent years because of the high number of unlikable players and the lack of Raiders. That's turned around significantly now.

Four Canberra Raiders to feature in Trans-Tasman Test
Canberra Raiders Jack Wighton and Nick Cotric will make their Test debuts for Australia, when the Kangaroos face New Zealand in Wollongong on Friday night. Five eighth Wighton has been named at centre, partnering Cotric on the wing.
Green Machine forward Josh Papalii has also been named in Australia's starting team at prop. However, he will have scans tomorrow after aggravating a rib injury at training in an opposed session against the Junior Kangaroos. He failed to complete today's session at Kiama.
Canberra Raiders centre Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad has been named at centre for his New Zealand Test debut, while one of the Raiders' rookies of the year has been brought into the Test squad and included on the extended bench. Jordan Rapana has withdrawn from the Kiwis squad, while Joe Tapine will serve a one week suspension on Friday, after an incident in the Grand Final.

Ftr i’d probably have CNK on the wing and Issako in the centre’s as a bigger body but congrats to Charnzey on being selected for his debut. No one deserves it more.

I agree. Wouldn't be in my side. There are a number of suspensions and injuries though. NAS, Bromwich, Tapine, Harris, Fisher-Harris. I'm guessing Taupau is out as well.

Why was Tapine allowed to play in the 9s ?
And now serves his suspension.

Because you can't serve a suspension in a Nines game. Seemed fair to let him play. The suspension was not warranted in any event.
Re: 2019 Test Australia V New Zealand: Teams and Game Day
CNK in the centres (if it lines up that way) will be real interesting.
If CNK and Jack both play blinders (against each other ) the boards will be aflame with BOTH centre wars potentially flaring up at the same time.

Canberra Raiders Jack Wighton embraces the pressure that comes with Kangaroos
A breakout year has taught Jack Wighton how to handle the pressure of rugby league's biggest stages.
"I've tried to 'live in the now' this year to enjoy every day. I haven't looked too far ahead ... I'll enjoy the build up and enjoy the game," Wighton said. "My mind's at peace now, I'm ready to go. The second I found out I was in the squad I was already buzzing, and that was the day after the grand final.

Niggly fans might prefer he rests but he deserves a symbol of how hard he worked and how well he performed this year. Being a sole survivor of the Kangaroos last era just shows how good the guy has been for so long now.
He's up with Lazzo for best Raiders props ever. Just needs the trophy.

3rd min TRY AUSTRALIA to centre Brian Kelly, set up by a good short pass from Ponga and he crosses out wide. Converted Zac Lomax.

9th min TRY AUSTRALIA to Victor Radley, Brodie Croft puts in a grubber to the in goal and France fail to cover it. Radley then ounces of the loose ball. Lomax converts from almost in front.

30th min TRY AUSTRALIA to Zac Lomax, Papenhuysen good pass and Marguerite can’t stop him. Hint of a lost ball in grounding. Just unable to convert his own try.

34th min TRY AUSTRALIA to Lomax, that’s the best so far. Great involvement from Papenhuysen in the lead up. Lomax on the sideline... again cannot convert, breeze took it.
Junior Kangaroos 36-0
It’s not a full strength French team... but the Junior Kangaroos have scored a point a minute.
