Oh my gosh... how are you going to give a cat two injections a day? Mine would have run for the hills if we’d tried anything like that.

That will be an interesting exercise!
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.

The vet has said that first of all we change her diet to a special food made for diabetic cats.

Then we monitor her for a while then another check up. If that doesn't work, we try the insulin.

The vet appreciates that the insulin injections are difficult to manage in our current situation, and hopes that the change in diet will suffice

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Hill's do a diabetic cat food, both wet and dry. Nahla prefers dry.

This weekend is the Annual Canberra Bonsai show at Canberra High School, next to Jamison shops. 9 to 4 pm both days, I think it's $4 entry. Demos on both days, at 11am and 2pm. The head curator of the National collection and his deputy will be doing the Saturday 2pm demo. About 80 trees on display and heaps of bonsai material to buy. Canteen with homemade cakes/slices. Always a great weekend activity.

I received a letter from my energy provider today telling me my contract with a 12 per cent discount was about to expire. But don’t worry, if you do nothing we will roll that deal over for you! But if you want to compare prices etc, you can do that at a certain government website and you can get your usage and billing details on our website.

Well I checked on the government website tonight... and it appeared there was one provider a little cheaper. So I logged into my account at my own provider to get a few more details to help with an estimate.

Next thing... my energy provider’s site is saying... here’s some other offers we have for you. One locked in prices for three years... no saving there. The other offer was a 25 per cent discount. The only difference is they won’t send you four accounts with you billing details every quarter. They’ll send it by email. Hundreds of dollars saved per year, just switching out of four notices by mail that I’d paid my bill by direct debit!

Incredible!

Yeah I got offered 25% for signing up to monthly direct debit last year, then got a letter about 2 months ago when it ran out saying they'd extend it for another year.

Absolute horse **** they can give you a 25% discount at the drop of a hat.. lower prices you thieving pricks
