Re: 2019 Preliminary Final: Teams and Previews
Tapine likely to miss a week. Rapana won't be worried. Cotric most likely will be back and fit but I seriously would prefer Simonsson out there at the moment.
So same team as against the Storm with Simonsson on the wing for Cotric, Papa to start, Sutton in for Tapine I guess.

Re: 2019 Preliminary Final: Teams and Previews
Same team with Papalii to start. No one is missing any games.
None of this BS hoping the other team fluffs it at the start. Guler / Horsburgh and Lui are good enough to hold their own when they come on. The Rabbits and Manly run trash benches. We have to fight their best with our best.

Hope that Stick bunkers them down and shields them from all this hype that's now been generated, which will start bubbling over the course of the two weeks. This is where really need his experience to come through
As good as that win was we still haven't achieved anything of note yet, so I'd absolutely hate to fall at the Prelim final hurdle again.

2 weeks is a long to shelter the team. Let them soak it up this week. Start doing the bunkering in 5 days leading up when we know who our opponent will be.

I hope Stick gives Papa plenty of down time..
His numbers were massive again last night.
He'll win the Meninga Medal again and rightly so.

I was shocked at Papas numbers. Watching the game I expected them to be down a bit but they were massive again.

Nice. Not much credit going to him for that crunching hit to dislodge the ball from Addo-Carr I see - we're gonna need his physicality and aggression in a fortnight.greeneyed wrote: ↑September 15, 2019, 12:13 pm Canberra Raiders forward Joe Tapine charged with dangerous contact, but free to play Preliminary Final with early plea

Parra’s performance against the broncs will keep us off the back page of the Tele for another week and allow us to keep a lid on things. Happy for the media to be chasing Sivo instead of Bateman for at least another week.

Re: 2019 Preliminary Final: Teams and Previews
Our losses at home this year are Storm rd2, Rabbitohs rd10, Cowboys rd11, Roosters r21, Manly rd23 and Warriors r25
The warriors game we didnt give a **** about and almost won the game in first gear. Couldnt careless, couldnt give a ****.
Storm rd2... we're a wildly different team now than we were then, we've since beaten that team twice. The cowboys game was an abomination, but every team has one of those on their schedule, it's an anomoly
Manly, Rabbitohs and Roosters are legit loses and each of them were one score games. Manly needed a 100 metre offside intercept to beat us, we were an inch away twice in the closing stages from snatching the roosters game. I dont remember specifics about the Rabbitohs game.
This idea that we're a bad home team is, to be perfectly frank, absolute garbage. We've got a home game to make the grand finals. This is exaclty what this team has worked so damn hard to achieve all year long.

Re: 2019 Preliminary Final: Teams and Previews
If we dont win this home prelim, it wont be because we're a bad home team, it wont be because we sucked and were pretenders all along, it will be because a damn good team out performed us on the day. But as long as we play the footy we know we're capable of, we're going to the grand final.
Re: 2019 Preliminary Final: Teams and Previews
At the time of the Bunnies loss they were arguably the form team of the comp. When Cook and Walker were blitzing everyone. Just as we're not the same team as then, neither are they.PigRickman wrote:Our losses at home this year are Storm rd2, Rabbitohs rd10, Cowboys rd11, Roosters r21, Manly rd23 and Warriors r25

It’s not a shtick, I’m convinced. I’ve been to many home games and the raiders home crowd is just lifeless and boring. Too busy yelling at the refs to support the team
You go to any away game and we outcheer the home fans. This is a fact, ask anyone

Raiders home games are awesome, some away games such as manly, cronulla, Newcastle the small number of raiders fans there make it difficult to make an impact
