I would have liked to have seen Tapine to start from the bench and Sutton start

Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

It's pretty lucky to be full strength as the end of the season.

Who cares really.
Wasn’t good enough to make their squad...hardly going to matter.
If Manly were not such a bogey side for Cronulla, you’d be throwing your money at the Sharks.
For some reason, the Sharks struggle against Manly, no matter what the form guide looks like.

The facts are you aren't supposed to play players from outside the top 30. That's why they had to get special dispensation from the NRL.-TW- wrote: ↑September 10, 2019, 5:02 pmHe's been playing for them the whole time, he just wasn't in the top 30.cat wrote:Yes but if your not you can have a sook to the nrl and just sign another player like manly has!edwahu wrote:It's pretty lucky to be full strength as the end of the season.

Joey Leilua and Joe Tapine return for Canberra Raiders' NRL finals clash with Melbourne Storm
Joey Leilua is poised to play his third game in almost five months in a blockbuster finals clash, as the Canberra Raiders hope Hudson Young will avoid a suspension when he fronts the judiciary.

It's absolutely outrageous that Manly are doing this, I'm so angry!!
Imagine applying for special dispensation to use a player outside your 30!!

I’m just pointing out the facts. cat is correct... he was contracted to Blacktown, the Sea Eagles NSW Cup affiliate, he hasn't been playing for Manly, he didn't have an NRL contract.

Well I'm furious about it, and you all should be too!
Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
And Manly didn't "sign" Tony Williams
But anyway redundant discussion

Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Looking at all the final sides - has anyone switched camps and now happier to be playing the Storm, rather than the Roosters? I was already in that camp, but the named teams have confirmed it for me.
Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
I was indifferent, we'd need to beat both to win anyway.Boomercm wrote:Looking at all the final sides - has anyone switched camps and now happier to be playing the Storm, rather than the Roosters? I was already in that camp, but the named teams have confirmed it for me.
And potentially twice

I wanted to play the roosters, in Sydney. Ah well, we have to beat the Storm now, in Melbourne.

Man for man i honestly believe we have the superior side, regardless of Smiths standing in the game, i also reckon our bench rotation is better (even without Havili)

I agree. We have a much better team, they just play better as a team.Kryptonite wrote: ↑September 10, 2019, 5:50 pm Man for man i honestly believe we have the superior side, regardless of Smiths standing in the game, i also reckon our bench rotation is better (even without Havili)
If we play at our best we'll win, but we need to start well.

I will be shocked if he plays, they just picked him to meet the 21 player requirement.
