So far the MRC have not cited anyone this week, fingers crossed it stays that way. I would swap Sezer for Williams, just so he has had some time with Jack if needed in the finals. Apart from that keep the team as is. After Thursday night we will know how important this game is

I absolutely wouldn’t make that change one game out from the finals
BOTH Jack and Aiden need to seriously work on their fifth play options, and Hodgo with how he links with them on last

Keep winning keep momentum, we want momentum going in against the chooks.
Everyone fears the chooks more then melbourne but if we going to win the thing we r going to have to beat them, may as well get them first up with me cheering them from the sidelines with 5-10 k other Sydney raiders fans then the 4 dogs who support them down in Melbourne.
Also you wanna stay match fit and keep ridin the momentum we have built this season.

think the team would also prefer to catch the bus to Sydney then risk flight delays and we know how that has gone all year
any idea who we are saying goodbye to?

Re: rd 25 raiders v warriors match preview
Yep - if anyone has a genuine injury that would benefit from a weeks rest then look at the options but otherwise keep the momentum going. The result doesn’t matter but there is a lot that does in terms of fixing a few defensive structures, sorting out last tackle plays and working a few players into form. If Ricky has seen what we needed to by all means give the bench a good run and rest a few needing a break.papabear wrote: ↑September 1, 2019, 8:36 pm Keep winning keep momentum, we want momentum going in against the chooks.

Re: rd 25 raiders v warriors match preview
Who to rest and who not to comes down to simply a medical decision
If there is players carrying injuries that will improve with a week off, you obviously rest them... everyone else plays

Think that puts us at too much of a risk to lose. Winning momentum would be really great to have at this time of year.
Personally I'd rest CNK, Papa, Bateman, and Raps. 4 guys that have either played a lot of football or taken a battering this season. Croker and Sia shouldn't need rests, and aren't integral to the side either.
That said, four players is still a lot to rest. Doubt Ricky will go to those lengths.
Re: rd 25 raiders v warriors match preview
I 100% would prefer to play the roosters off a slog with souths while having a safety net then let souths waste a shot at beating them
Dont delete this GE

rd 25 raiders v warriors match preview
I feel we really need to win the first final and we should rest up as many players as we can to be primed as if we lose I’m worried about playing Manly (if the draw falls that way) next up
Re: rd 25 raiders v warriors match preview
Finally, after 4 weeks, a dud team that we can bully and beat up.... If we dont win this one by 20+ we are kidding ourselves.
The million dollar question is who do we want to play week 1... roosters or storm. Roosters are simply unbeatable anyway, and we already had our once in a decade good game against the cap cheaters.

Re: rd 25 raiders v warriors match preview
Did anyone else watch the Storm dismantle Manly? You know Manly beat them earlier this yr, right?!? Storm don't lose to teams twice, so the fact that the ledger is even on the season on makes it tougher for us.
We nearly pants the chooks twice this yr, we are due. If we wanna win the comp, we are going to have to beat them. So why not in wk 1?
Also, they face the Bunnies next wk. Surely both teams aren't going to want to give an inch to the other headed into finals. The alterative is both field reserve grade sides.
As for the team Rickys presser suggested only injured players will be rested. We won't be making wholesale changes.

If the Roosters beat Souths, we are a lock for 3rd.
I’d be resting the spine, plus Papalii, Bateman and Whitehead.
Play Havili, Guler, Starling etc
No need to take risks now.
Take a look at Manly - they are shot now.

I wouldn't minds seeing a few rested. CNK has been busting a nut. Pre finals refresh wouldn't hurt him. Paps and Wighton played through Origin so they a break might help them. That would be about it for me.

Re: rd 25 raiders v warriors match preview
I wouldn't be resting anyone unless they had an injury.
The Warriors can be a dangerous team and they'll be pumped to end the year not on a total disgrace. Ricky will also need to keep the boys' heads in the game because we're expected to win this one too easily, it would be too easy to get complacent.
Let's ruthlessly execute them by forty points and roll into the finals on a high.
Also, I probably can't go. Figure skating judging commitments. ARGH.

Re: 2019 Rd 25 V Warriors: Teams and Previews
I'll trust Ricky to make the right call re resting players, he's got his finger on the pulse more than us. Rapana wasn't bad today but still looks a bit short on pace, so he might be a good candidate for a rest along with some of the forwards.
