2019 NRL Round 23 - Teams and Game Day

Post by Sid »

Media talking up the dogs for a finals spot now is one of the reasons I don't like the Wild Card concept, they have no business being talked up as premiership contenders
Would have won Boogs - 2016, 2017, 2018

But heres the thing, if they won the wildcard spot, they'd end up playing on the road the entire finals and needing beat teams like the storm, roosters, raiders and manly
They wouldnt beat those teams and if they did, well, they've earned it.

James Roberts is a quality human.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

It’s a horrible idea. Virtually renders the season meaningless.

Love your work bulldogs, see you next year and see if you can put it together for longer than 2 months.

It’s the most ridiculous idea, ever to come out of NRL HQ. It looked like diversionary tactics to me.

That’s a penalty to Souths every day of the week, every hour of the day except this one.

C'mon that should be a penalty to Souths. Roberts is a grub but Shibasaka was all over him.

It’d be helpful if Souths lose... but now the Broncos score and that’s just not justified. That’s just the result of really poor refereeing.

That’s a dreadful elbow to the head of a player on the ground from James Roberts. Just seeing it now on the half time replay. He should be out for month for that. Deliberate and intentional.

well, no, the regular season guarantees you a spot.
It's not like the bulldogs win a wildcard spot and suddenly can kick the Raiders out without a ball kicked. haha

It's actually a tough ground to judge forward passes. I'm not disagreeing with you but some of the camera angles make it difficult.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.
