Glorious day in Sydney alright.

Pity the place is pure garbage.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I love Newcastle. I could easily move there. It’s like Wollongong, but better.

Sydney isn’t too bad. We’re about to erect a golden milk crate in memory of yesterday

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

If by smoke stacks you mean the BHP site, they're gone.

But there's plenty of other business's polluting the Newcastle air I agree..

And the ships are a huge tourist attraction..

And the beaches are chockers full of Newcastle babes..

Today took an interesting twist. Hard to explain without going into detail, but there’s this project at work I was keen on being part of, so I tried to squeeze into it, but was told it was probably more an issue for another dept. Fair call, so I let it slide.
Anyway, turns out this project is crazily linked to this initiative I’ve been running for a couple of months, and all of my actions I need to do in my initiative are linked to this project, but on a large scale.

So my initiative and this project worked out to be the same issue. So I’m in the team.

That's a shame about the Metro Fui. It can't have been opened long, I'm sure they will sort out the bugs. The Metro network looks like a fantastic, long over due essential piece of infrastructure

So Boney jr finally stood up to the school bully, primary school. Boney jr is a brown belt karate, kid grabbed his arm Boney jr elbows kid in the chest, kid grabs him from behind around the throat Boney jr back punches him fair under the eye to which the kid reacts and throws him down 3 stairs.
Boney Jr not in trouble, other kid's mother contacted us as to why Boney jr gave her angel a black eye and she's been called to the school.
Let's just say she's probably learned a lot about her son's behaviour in 1 phone call.

I see now, you have to pick six, and not spend more then $20.

In that case... I pick the available Raiders, as some of them are absolute bargains!

$5 Mal Meninga
$1 Ricky Stuart
$4 Steve Walters
$2 Brad Clyde

That leaves $8... so I'll spend...

$5 Wally Lewis
$2 Tom Trbojevic... as I rate him better than The Count.
