Club's future back into own hands
The story of a suburban bowls club, which hit financial strife and became a raider target, has parallels to the hit Aussie movie Crackerjack.
As more and more south east Queensland bowls clubs face extinction as developers come knocking, one is bucking the trend, buying the premises back from a "corporate raider", in a move that could have come straight from the movie Crackerjack. Have not read anything more than the synopsis... but looks like the Raiders have sold out of The Rec Club in Logan in south east Queensland.
Probably makes sense, given how far away it is from the core business.

I refuse to pay News for "news" and Outline seems to be not working. Who bowled the flipper? and it makes me miss John Clarke even more.
