Well done. That it is exactly it. Not enough kicker points to have walker. Maxed out at 15!

Ahhh righto yeah that's it. Thanks. Not dropping anyone that has a kicker point for him. Munster, latrell and M Moses are my kickers.

Can we lower the kicking cap next comp?

10 is way too high, and allows hoarding of kickers.. where if Holland gets dropped this weekend I have noone

With only 16 regular kickers I think most of us are relying on 1 kicker. I think next year we could look at having the team kickers option they introduced. So you have say Raiders kicking or Broncos kicking so you can't lose it to injury.

I was actually going to suggest raising it for this year since a lot of people are struggling to field a full side with all the injuries and it would open up some more depth on the waiver.

Actually come to think of it I actually had Dylan Walker from the draft so not sure why it let me have him then.

Lost by 2 after holding an 11 point lead going into the last game. Thanks to Fonua-Blake getting a career high 15 points, and the Dragons not giving the kicking duties Lomax!

Looks like it will be a draw. Can’t see where any over turn will happen.

I thought Munsters mongrels was unbeatable but there you go. I've slipped into outright second, hopefully I'll have my best squad back soon.

Cook only got 14 as a captain so that went some way to losing.

Just a reminder that the trade deadline is this week if anyone wants to make some late moves.

For those still playing along, the finals are three rounds away and all but two sides are still in the running. So don't forget to submit your lineups.

Squad changes also lock after this weekend.

I think a few changes to the rules for next year are needed to avoid that situation.

A rule change I'd like to see is a point for 1 on 1 strips. Such an important play should be rewarded.

That’s something that can be bought up with the site for sure.
I was hinting more along the lines of reducing squad sizes and available kicking/specialty points.

2019 NRL CEO Competition

Post by Sid »

I thought my side would be better placed at this time of year... I wonder if the Walker Brothers are available

The reason Gold Coast haven’t announced Holbrook as coach yet is he is weighing up the option of coaching Sir McSquid’s Squad instead.. much better roster than Gold Coast

Squad sizes do need to be smaller. There has been little movement in players as there haven't been any in the pool.

I need to win my last 2 games to have any chance of sneaking into the finals

Yeah I've had half a squad that either have been dropped or injured so I've been non competitive

Reducing squads to have more free agents would be helpful next year

And reducing kicker points means that no team can have more than one first choice kicker each

Reducing both the squad size and kicker points makes it more interesting. You have to think who you recruit.

But it also leaves some in the pool so you can make adjustments

Players I've moved in and out have only been fringe players

Seems our finals has some issues with the teams and schedule missing. <edit> It's fixed for this round and working on the rest with the site owners.

So we confirm that this is a keeper league?
Also, is there any changes we need to adopt for next year?

Yep, it's a keeper league. I think we said 6 keepers.

We can discuss the rule changes in the off season, I am happy to change whatever people agree on.

Can someone explain the finals format to me? I'm not even sure how many teams it is and I would've expected the minor premier to play week 1?

So this week we will have

Purtells Turtles vs Sherriff GH for a spot in the Grand Final.
Sir McSquids Squad vs Munsters Mongrels for the chance to play the loser of that game.

Thanks to everyone who is out of the running for participating this year.
