Absolute belter of a game and a belter of a finish. Goodness knows why anyone wouldn't want golden point.

Because a draw was a fair result

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Because it was manufactored excitement where all anyone did was work towards a wild FG shot, most of which were absolute **** puss, and really an objective observer would happily say the two sides were easily matched and deserved a point each AND it helps break up the table.

Manly are in red hot form. They're a good team with better attacking players than us. Swap DCE with Sezer and suddenly we're a bona fide contender.

I think we'll finish 5th/6th or so, which is still a good result.

Plus we play NZ, Roosters and Storm the next 3 weeks while Manly play Newcastle, Tigers and NZ.

We've got a much harder draw.

What a game... that last tackle at the end of the first segment in extra time was the craziest passage of play ive ever seen.. manly spread it, then the storm, then charge down, then the storm spread it again, put it on the toe only to fall meters short. Crazy!

But all that said jurbo had to be sent off. Absolute joke!

They’re also tactically sharper than we are. They play a vast majority of their footy through their best players to squeeze as much from them as possible.

We wouldn't want to suggest that the Raiders cop any bad calls, compared to other sides would we? You'd be crazy to think that?

Should actually be a week longer as jake has no time already spent off the field already as part of his punishment

I find it really hard to believe, and also utterly disgusting, that not a word of post-match discussion touched on the notion that Manly should have played their last few minutes with a man off the field. Tell me how if Cotric was a grade 3, Jurbo wasn't at best a grade 2, and should not also have been a sendoff.

I'm going to say it now though, the meejya don't give a fnork. This garbage is utterly corrupt.

I just watched the Trbojavic tackle and agree it’s almost identical to Cotric.

If that’s how they referee it, Looks like Cotric will remain the only player sent off for a spear tackle for over 20 years.....

It was just as bad as Cotrics..

I suppose one difference was that Jurbo had help, Cotric went solo..

I don't know if that means much but hey..

Interestingly I go the other way, after watching the replay this morning, I don’t think it was as bad as Cotric’s
He’s not elevated as high or driven into the ground with the same force.

I’d still like to see that and tackles like it as an automatic send off though

Think they deliberate pretty hard about grade 2 vs grade 3 for that
I’d like to see it get a grade 3 because you should air on the side of higher charges on this stuff, but a grade 2 wouldn’t stun me

Definitely think Cotric’s was worse. Haven’t seen a replay this morning but did Hughes sort of leap/jump as well in last nights one?
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

People keep saying that Cotric's is worse because he drove Lafai into the ground but I think it looked worse because he appeared to lose control of the ball and Cotric scrambled, on top of him, for the ball. Jake comes straight down on top of Hughes.

The Rooters have already bombed two tries early

One from a forward pass from former Raider James Tedesco to Cooper Cronk.

And the second when Joseph Manu put a foot on the sideline while grounding the ball in the corner.

The Roosters handling has been poor, turning the ball over plenty of times to a Bulldogs side that has nothing...

I just had the displeasure of watching Dale Finucane play guitar.

Footballer plays music thus rules the world.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
