I genuinely fell off my couch when I heard that. I pegged her mid-20s, tops.

Girl note: I'm surprised how many of the players have their hair in loose ponytails, or worse, a plait. Too much risk of whipping yourself in the eye I'd have thought.

Footy fan note: This match is sure being played with the appropriate intensity and passion for Origin! Everyone's gonna be feeling this tomorrow!

Cook Islands 50-0

Still 0-0 in the Women's Origin with nine minutes to the break.

Half time in women's game. Very ordinary opening period. Took a while for both teams to warm into the game. The last 10 mins really stepped up a notch.

Good to see the not-great halves for NSW are consistent across both teams. And then when they finally went left, good things started happening!

World Cup Qualifier

80th min TRY COOK ISLANDS to Mounties forward Vincent Rennie under the posts. A little unfair on the Rhinos, as they should have had six again at the other end of the field after a legal strip on the last. Marsters converts.

NSW blow a try. Perfectly set up with cross kick for winger. All she had to do was fall over but she bounced it.
