I think the camera was focused on Papalii after the penalty, but the replay showed it was Bateman
If John Bateman has to miss a game, does the rep game for England count as 1?

Re: 2019 Rd 15 V Eels: Teams and Previews
Fifita is looking at 2 weeks suspension for a grade 2 Dangerous contact charge, still waiting to hear on Bateman but if he gets the same charge it would be 1 week if he pleads guilty.
Fifita's would include the Tonga test and I'd assume Fifita has priors as well.

similar tackles to Bateman’s happen each round without a charge. Player backed into him, but he probably could have released earlier.edwahu wrote:Confirmed no charge for Bateman

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Underrated Canberra Raiders captain Jarrod Croker proving the difference
Underrated? Not in Canberra. And Raiders coach Ricky Stuart says the record books show exactly where captain Jarrod Croker sits in the club's history.
"I'm just very grateful to have the opportunity to be at this club long enough to do that sort of stuff. I love playing here, I love Canberra and I love the Raiders so it means a lot to me, Croker said.

Crazy to think we're in 3rd at the moment with Hodgo and Leilua out.
He got 5 mins in his debut, he made three hit ups in three minutes up he middle against a big pack (he normally plays in the backs), At one point i was on the edge of my seat, i thought he might even score and win us the game!!
How good would that have been for a kid on Debut.
Then when he got a full game in the centres, he scored a great try.
I thought, for a Rookie "Virtually on debut" he was brilliant.
Some young guys come into Grade, and they look like rookies.
I thought he was confident and genuinely looked like he had played in the team for years.
I guess all the training they do together helps this.
I'd have him there no questions asked, he'll do a job for the team, the more games he plays, the more experience in grade and the stronger the team is.
Hopefully he is still somewhat flying under the radar and other clubs don't know about him.
Does anyone know how long he is contracted and if he has a player manager?

Ricky might go that way. but I think Oldy has been impressive in his outings and he won't want to be putting too many rookies into a disrupted team.
I would have nothing against Kris getting another run. But last week or 2 we have struggled out our own red zone and Oldy excelled at that the game she has played. Really crashing through the line.
Re: 2019 Rd 15 V Eels: Teams and Previews
I just hope the Bulldogs go on a 5 match winning streak starting this Sunday. As for the Eels match, pending injuries, pick the same side that played the Sharks. If Nic is out I'd play Seb Kris. If Sia's game was as a result of Injury, then HorsPower must be close to returning from injury by the time of the Eels game in Darwin.

He is off contract this year. He is managed by David Riolo who tends to move his clients away from Canberra.Steve05 wrote: ↑June 14, 2019, 9:33 pmHAS everyone forgotten about KRIS?zim wrote: ↑June 14, 2019, 12:25 am Assuming our judiciary record holds up and Bateman is out for 12 weeks.

I think they would definitely want to re-sign him with BJ's injury.
