Canberra Raiders young gun Nick Cotric set to miss Origin II but could be back for Dragons match

Canberra Raiders centre Nick Cotric has been ruled out of State of Origin II, but could be back to face St George Illawarra - while Josh Hodgson and Corey Horsburgh could be back for the Eels clash. Scans on Friday revealed Cotric suffered a minor syndesmosis injury, but his ankle wasn't fractured.

Given the injury and 16 days between this game and Parra, wouldn't be shocked to see him play that game before (particularly with the bye the following week).

A 1 month injury means he'll only miss one game. That's as good a timing as you can get. With Rapana getting back to 100% and Hodgo still returning this break has worked out very well for us.

It looks like Jai Arrow might have also caught the syndesmosis

I was initially pissed that we had our bye later given our injury toll but somehow the team managed to string 3 wins together! Now things are looking much brighter. Hopefully our bad run with injuries has come to an end
