Geez, quick turnaround

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Raiders hit with a 6 day turnaround on top of having to travel back to canberra from sydney. How are you not seeing this bias against us?

I haven’t heard of any injury concerns coming out of the Tigpies game last night....

1. Nicol-Klokstad
2. Simmonson
3. Croker
4. Cotric
5. Rapana
6. Wighton
7. Sezer
8. Papalii
9. Havili
10. Lui
11. Bateman (right)
12. Whitehead (left)
13. Tapine

14. Starling
15. Guler
16. Soliola
17. Sutton

Wow... looking at that side it’s pretty strong. Hodgson, Horsburgh, Young all to come back in coming weeks... Oldfield, Williams, Murchie waiting in the wings. And BJ out indefinitely

Looking forward to seeing this game. Shark's will throw more at us than the tigers and be harder to score against. I'm expecting a much closer game, but a raiders victory.

Yep. Hard to fault that. Sutton really returned to his best. Possibly his best game in green for mine. He was dishing out some punish in defence, along with the usual workrate.

We need Batemans spark on the edge imo to help with our attack. Tapine was getting his shoulder into his work in the middle, I like his size in there vs Bateman + he's a different bodyshape and skill set with his mobility and stepping for defences to deal with vs Lui who does well but is a bit of a bargain price Papa in shape and style.

Same side as the tigers except with Papa and Sia swapping.

1. Charnze Nicoll-klokstad
2. Bailey Simonsson
3. Jarrod Croker
4. Nick Cotric
5. Jordan Rapana
6. Jack Wighton
7. Aidan Sezer
8. Josh Papalii
9. Siliva Havili
10. Ryan Sutton (I hope Bennett sees that tigers performance. He should be playing for Enlgand.)
11. John Bateman
12. Elliot Whitehead
13. Joseph Tapine

14. Tom Starling
15. Emre Guler
16. Dunamis Lui
17. Sia Soliola

Tapine is looking stronger each week. Could look at changing him to the 2nd row now if you wanted (I don't).
Guler did enough to hold onto his spot but if Murchie has a strong game or 2 for Mounties he might sneak back in before Horsburgh is back. I like the idea of Guler being able to get the experience while we're winning. Should benefit him down the track.
Will be some interesting decisions to make after the bye round with all our top players available and fully fit except Leilua.

Agreed on Sutton starting. He just looks a born modern day starting middle forward. Not impactful enough to be a really damaging bench player imo. His couple of forgettable games coincided with playing from the bench so he starts every week in my team unless something drastic happens.

I do feel a bit sorry for Michael Oldfield but as a club fan I hope he stays in reserve grade as that simply means no more injuries. He has not done one thing wrong this season but finds himself first reserve again. Just about the perfect first reserve now he is passable as a short term centre if required as well. Long story short he’s been a very, very good signing for the club.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

Love Tapine but, should we have Sutton at 13 and have Tapine coming off the bench? Taps was good tonight at Lock and can play any where in the front.

Batemen makes me understand why girls do what they do....

English Canberra Raiders sticking the boot in for try time

Is it the Bateman effect? Nah, that's the three clean sheets. This is the Pommie effect. It's the pre-training kick around that's bearing its weight in tries.

"We have a bit of a laugh at training, practice little kick ups and keeping the ball off the ground so it's been good," Whitehead said. "A few us before training, we have a bit of a kick around. [Friday] it's come in handy, but I thought we did really well completing our sets and finishing in corners that we spoke about all week."

Canberra Raiders Jack Wighton consigns Origin error to past

It was the perfect way to put his Origin error behind him - being part of an emphatic win with his Canberra Raiders brothers.

"The best thing about football is you get to play again the next week," Wighton said. "There's other things in life you don't get a second chance at. Half full's my perspective at the minute and I'll never be more grateful for the opportunity I got.

Sharks were pretty clinical against an ordinary Eels team. They're a quality side and haven't lost in Canberra since 2012.

So is the Storm, Eels, Bulldogs, and pretty much every single team in the competition has cheated the cap at one stage or another. Hudson-young served a drug suspension too.
