Oh, hell no! This would be awful! Not least for poor Joey who was going really well.

That really sucks. Really thought he’d be getting that blues right centre jersey this year.

Devastating if true.
If it is true I reckon season long we should consider Cotric to right centre with BS left wing.

Agree. Best time to move Cotric in. Have both Simonssen and Oldy who can cover wing.

That's terrible for BJ and the club. He was playing great footy.
Why do we have such bad luck with injuries as soon as we get the mental side right?

Hopefully it won't need the surgery. They normally fix up in 4-6 weeks. Each one is different of course.
Has Cotric played much right side? I'm open to the idea but he's said he's happy as a winger.

Tapine, Bateman and now BJ..
We have some super talent sitting out...
Praying that BJs injury doesn't require surgery and he's back playing vsoon..

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Re: Joey Leilua out for the year?
Given Bateman is also out I'd see how Oldfield defends over the next 3 weeks before moving Cotric infield.
I'd also look at Santini or Rennie for that last spot in the squad.

Thanks. Then if he wants to move, now is the time. Simmonsen or Oldie to the other wing.Danaman137 wrote: ↑May 8, 2019, 8:02 pmPlayed most of his juniors as a right centreBadnMean wrote:Hopefully it won't need the surgery. They normally fix up in 4-6 weeks. Each one is different of course.

When he first cracked the NRL squad many questioned if he could adjust from right centre to left win.BadnMean wrote: ↑May 8, 2019, 8:27 pmThanks. Then if he wants to move, now is the time. Re: Joey Leilua out for the year?
From what I’ve seen of him in firsts (didn’t see much of him in NYL) I don’t think Cotric had the hands yet to maximise Rapana. Oldfield should be a solid filler, simple game player, give service to raps.Danaman137 wrote: ↑May 8, 2019, 7:21 pmWas literally about to post this.julian87 wrote:Devastating if true.

Didn't Sticky say he had a bit of tightness all week but was planning to play but come game day he woke up and was feeling worse.

Re: Joey Leilua out for the year?
Going to assume that this is a pretty severe case as I haven't heard of surgery being common for bulging discs. I had one 5 years ago and that option wasn't even discussed (had a heap of physio instead).
Never the less, terrible news when he was really hitting some form and didn't have a brain snap for a while!

Re: Joey Leilua out for the year?
Cotric to BJ’s centre position, played plenty there in lower grades and his step and natural run favours that side. Simonson or Oldie take Cotric wing, I’m leaning towards Simonson tbh.

Re: Joey Leilua out for the year?
I had one 2 years ago and the first option on the table from the doc was surgery. Needless to say I got a second opinion and went the physio route.pacman wrote: ↑May 8, 2019, 8:58 pm Going to assume that this is a pretty severe case as I haven't heard of surgery being common for bulging discs. If he’s out long term I think moving Cotric there would be a good move
