It is not a broken leg. He is in a knee brace out on the ground now.

Good news. They seem to lose there way when he went off. Poor game from a referee perspective.

Medlyn was good in the middle. Not sure of his name but the big unit on the wing goes hard. Hard game to get a read on. Ref thought he had the TV game in the first half but some Ill discipline from the raiders also. Raiders probably had 20% possession in the first half and always looked the better side with the ball. A game they should have won but they did get a bit frantic when they lost the 7 late first half.

Am assuming you mean Brigham Moeakiola. Semi Valemi the other winger, Fijian.

Semi the Fijian. He rips in! When the side clicks i think they will worry a few good sides. Smith Shields is strong on the edges as well.

Sincere apology for this comment. I was up behind the posts when he went down and it looked broken. Was apparently badly dislocated knee that was put back in on field. Hope he is ok.

AT A GLANCE: The Canberra Raiders drew with the Victoria Thunderbolts, 21-21, in their return to the Jersey Flegg competition last week. The Raiders were probably the better of the two teams, scoring four tries to three. The Thunderbolts went to a 20-16 lead, after a try to fullback Troy Hanita-Paki in the 57th minute. The Raider hit back five minutes later, leveling the scores through a four pointer to winger Brigham Moeokiola. Jarrett Subloo - kicking in the absence of Toby Westcott, who was injured in the first half - could not convert from out wide. But he made up for it, when he kicked a field goal with just two minutes remaining.

Canberra looked like they had earned a 21-20 victory, when they pushed the Thunderbolts over the sideline as the siren was about to sound - but the referee inexplicably awarded a penalty to Victoria. It was an obvious incorrect call, as the tackle was clearly not finished and the players were still in motion. It gave Victorian halfback Trent Toelau a shot at a long range field goal after the siren - which he nailed, salvaging a draw.

The ninth placed Raiders now meet the 11th placed Newcastle Knights, in a curtain raiser for the NRL clash at Canberra Stadium. The Knights suffered a 24-18 loss at home to the Penrith Panthers last week. Both teams will be keen to post their first victory of the season.

In the most significant Raiders team changes, Toby Westcott is out injured, with Kyle Patterson moving to halfback, and Liam Mock replacing Patterson at starting hooker.

25th min TRY RAIDERS to Tom Robertson. Nice worked move in the red zone puts the bench forward under the posts! Jarrett Subloo converts. The Raiders absorbed some intense pressure from the Knights at the other end of the field and the good defence pays dividends.

One of Ricky's sons is called Jack(son). He didn't have the same demeanor on field, looks tall.

I hope it is. I think it'd be fantastic if his son played for the Raiders. The blood lines are undeniable...

AT A GLANCE: The Canberra Raiders defeated the Newcastle Knights, 18-14, at Canberra Stadium in Round 3. The Raiders led 12-6 at half time, with tries to prop forward Charlie Rorke and interchange player Tom Robertson. The Green Machine went out to an 18-10 lead with nine minutes remaining - a good break from centre Matt Timiko setting up a four pointer for five eighth Jarrett Subloo. The Knights hit back four minutes later, with a try to second rower Ben Talty - but the Raiders defence was too good in the final stages, holding out multiple attacking raids from the Knights.

The fifth placed Raiders now meet the third placed Sydney Roosters - in a big day of junior football at Seiffert Oval. The Raiders Tarsha Gale Cup, Harold Matthews and SG Ball teams play in the lead up to the Jersey Flegg contest at 3pm. Both the Raiders and Roosters are undefeated in 2019, with the Roosters boasting a 2 and 0 record, while the Raiders have posted a win and a draw. The Roosters defeated the Parramatta Eels in their last outing, 20-12 at Stadium Australia.

Kyle Patterson continues at halfback and Liam Mock at hooker, given the leg injury suffered in Round 2 by half Toby Westcott. Ricky Stuart's son Jackson gets his second game at fullback, after putting in a strong performance in his debut last week, and with Lachlan Eveston (shin) still injured.
