I'll keep that in mind if he gets a season ending injury or is rubbed out of the game. :)

How is the "metre eater" determined? I was cheering on Curtis Scott tonight and according to foxsports stats he ran for over 200. Is the "metre eater" only for the 1 player that gets the most metres?

It's based off Champion Data stats and not fox sports, although he still got 209m
http://mc.championdata.com/nrl/

It's 2 points for a metre eater so he should've got 4 + 4 for the try. It might get updated later, final scores are confirmed Tuesday

Single Metre Eaters:
Fullbacks: 150+ metres run
Wingers: 150+ metres run
Centres: 100+ metres run
Five-Eighths: 100+ metres run
Halfbacks: 100+ metres run
Front Rowers: 150+ metres run
Hookers: 100+ metres run
Back Rowers: 150+ metres run
Locks: 150+ metres run

Double Metre Eaters:
All positions: 200+ metres run

Triple Metre Eaters:
All positions: 300+ metres run

What do the numbers under the scores on the site mean? e.g 2/14, 4/15 etc?

Should scores be final now? Metre Eaters still don't seem to be counting, at least in my game. The default calculation also doesn't mention it, e.g:

Backrower: 4*$tries + 4*$workHorse + 2*$tryAssists + $lineBreaks + $lineBreakAssists - 2*$sinBins - 4*$sentOffs + $fieldGoals + $fortyTwenty

Yeah scores final. All scores final about 3 hours after game.

That comp does not have meter eaters by looking at that coding

Can the admins activate it? It's locked for me but I thought it was on by default and I think everyone expected it to be on.

What would people prefer? Add metre eaters in and maybe change some results, or leave it out?

I am happy to include if we can.
I am not sure who it will affect but think if we want to add, now is the only time to do so.

I don't mind if we update it. I had thought we were including it based on the scoring that Ed had included in this thread.

Yeah I don't mind if it's added... although I'm currently leading my game by 1 so I may come back to regret this! ha

Me too but I actually based some of my draft selections on the metre eater, ie Fergo and Turbo Tom.

Meter eater is set up for round 2 onwards.
Win/losses are as is after the weekend and any meter eaters scored will not affect those results, even if it meant you may have ended up with more points.

Thanks for that. Looks like it didn't change any results in the end.

Plus stuffing up and changing rules during the comp creates a more authentic NRL experience

Never in doubt Ed. Phew...

If your captain scores a try is it worth 8 points or just 4?

I need one of my players to score 6 tries to even make it a contest. Russell Packer looks the goods.
