Its basically amateur porn. Its not a good look at all. NRL players really should stay clear of this kind of thing.

Now we dont know how consensual the acts were... but if we assume the acts itself were consensual and the filming was also consensual. Then that's just a consensual act between two parties. The problem in that instance is the leaking. Otherwise it's just two people who like a bit of rough sex and like to be filmed.
Whilst it's something i would encourage any person (public profile or not!) to avoid that kind of thing, simply because the span of control is very difficult.
But the acts itself? Rough sex and filming it... that's not a particularly vulgur or unusual part of a sexual appetitite.
If everyone acts honourably here, two people engage in a consensual act and agree to have it filmed. And no one other than the participants ever see it. That's perfectly fine.
The problem is when one party is not acting honourably and is now sharing that footage without consent.
Of course if the physical nature of the act and the filming wasnt consensual, then that's a whole different kettle of fish

Now Grant Denyer has come out about a video he made using a camera he borrowed from his school. He returned it and forgot to get the tape, and has been worried it’ll get leaked.

Re: Penrith Panthers 2019
I'm more than happy for any player who goes as far what Tyrone May did and whoever the other masked cowards are, to never participate in an NRL game again. The worst of the footage is disturbing and whether it's asked for or not, it's not an example of how anyone should conduct themselves.
Re: Penrith Panthers 2019
That's your position but it won't be the position of a lot of the population. It's still a problem for the game that it's public regardless of whether it's consensual or not.

Re: Penrith Panthers 2019
Can posters please remember this forum guideline:
you must not use inappropriate images or language (eg swearing); images or language which are intolerant of others (eg racial or other slurs); images or language that are excessively vulgar, obscene or sexually oriented; or which involve illegal activity;
We don’t need detailed descriptions thanks. That not only breaks the forum guideline, but it is inconsistent with the requirements put on the site to run Google ads.

Re: Penrith Panthers 2019
There was EDIT in those videos, which I absolutely have a problem with. Consenting to have sex with someone doesn’t EDIT

Re: Penrith Panthers 2019
No idea what you said in the EDIT bits but I do agree with you in general. The actions really aren't as big a problem while its all consentual. That is perfectly legal, although the moral aspect is more subjective. I must admit what May did in these videos is pushing the envelope a bit too far and its very different from the 'Big Papi' situation.PigRickman wrote: ↑March 6, 2019, 9:43 amI hadnt, until about 5 minutes ago.yeh raiders wrote: ↑March 6, 2019, 9:29 am

But i stand by what i said, in general. Like that's my position on that stuff.
If the acts are consensual, including the filming, then the problem is the leaking and distribution. If people want to engage in acts including filming, that's their business but it should stay their business, if it's shared with consent of all participants, that's a major **** problem.
EDIT a consensual act EDIT... nothing in that suggests to me there is a problem. UNTIL he shares it. Once he does that, he's a **** disgusting dirt bag.
The language EDIT Problem there is again the sharing without consent.
If they did those acts and the videos were never seen beyond the participants, i think that's a slightly unusual, but mostly fine sexual interaction (again, language aside, which was appalling from the men involved)... but that's the problem with filming, it's never not shared. Which is why you should never do it.
EDIT
As I said before its basically amatuer porn and NRL players really should not be getting involved with this kind of thing. They are well paid as public figures and they need to be more cognisant of that. If you want to take the big $$ for playing professionally you need to hold yourself to a much higher standard off the field than you every day park footballer.

Re: Penrith Panthers 2019
And that's the caveat i guess... a rather large one EDIT
Re: Penrith Panthers 2019
Other than the videos themselves? I doubt there are many girls willing to be filmed tbh
Re: Penrith Panthers 2019
Yep, and i've always said that too... whilst i can be sympathetic to some of the over done public shaming of players for some actions (not in this case) and can accept that they are treated different to you or i, when you sign that contract and take the job to be a professional footballer, like or not, that's part of the gigNorthern Raider wrote: ↑March 6, 2019, 11:02 am As I said before its basically amatuer porn and NRL players really should not be getting involved with this kind of thing. And if you arent up for that, go and dig ditches for a living and no of this will be a problem for you.

Can we please have no speculation. Please stick to the facts as reported in mainstream media, thanks.
Re: Penrith Panthers 2019
I'm not one to go digging for these videos and I thought that the Napa punishment was excessive, but I've read enough here to be content with any punishment the NRL dishes out.

Re: Penrith Panthers 2019
I enjoyed Laurie Daley's comments about the Penrith culture very much. After Gus bagged him big time for the culture of his NSW team when Loz was coach trying to keep a handle on Dugan and Fergo. And now all this on Gus' watch. Superb game play by the former champion 5/8....and Gus is off for a HIA
'I wouldn't let my son play for Penrith': League legend unloads on Panthers' culture
League legend Laurie Daley has unloaded on the culture at Penrith, saying he wouldn’t allow his son to play for the embattled NRL club in the current climate.
“If you’re a parent, which I am, at the moment if I have a son good enough to play and if Penrith were in discussions with my son, I wouldn’t want my son to go and play at Penrith. And I wouldn’t want my daughter to go out with any Penrith player.”

Re: Penrith Panthers 2019
The NRL needs to take these incidents with May much further IMO. If there are players, officials and coaching staff who shared these videos or knew about them but didn't report them, then they all need to be held to account and their names provided to police.

Mariner is a meme god compared to utter garbage posted on that page.
Atleast Mariner vaguely understands the concept of what a meme is.

It's all good, it's a society problem.
I'm going out Friday night and doing what I want, because apparently everyone else is doing it so it's OK.
I'll shed a few tears on camera and blame Laurie Daley, back to business as usual.

Are you serious Pig, the whole point is that the 2 women knew nothing of the the footage until it was pointed out to them by a third party. This interview perfectly illustrates why the NRL has these sorts of problems.
These latest incidents are just the 2019 version of the same attitudes and behaviours that have been synonymous with male dominated workplaces since forever.
The mobile phone and the celebrity has delivered these grubs into our lounge rooms but Wiedler and Gould are kidding themselves if they think this kind of grubby misogynistic behaviour and the attitudes behind it are new to rugby league clubs.

This sort of behaviour should have been nipped in the butt 11 years ago. It's a small percentage and should be dumped from the game to send a clear message.
