Canberra Raiders junior Carne Doyle-Manga joins Newcastle Thunder on two year deal

Cook Islands international Carne Doyle-Manga has joined UK club Newcastle Thunder on a two-year contract. Doyle-Manga arrives at Thunder from Queensland Cup outfit North Devils, where he made 22 appearances as the club failed to make the play-off qualification stage for the Cup.

Doyle-Manga played Under-20 level for NRL sides Newcastle Knights and Canberra Raiders, before representing New Zealand Maori in 2016.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Ditto. Paid more of a price than some of the others and got that knee injury in his comeback.

Josh Dugan on his latest ‘I’ve realised my past issues and now I’ve improved story’.

Here’s a link but you’ve heard this exact story 109 times. At least he doesn’t have to struggle as a bricklayer this time.

I genuinely want him to provide a beneficial story and assistance for people with mental issues, but I’m concerned that he continues to make things more difficult for those struggling with mental illnesses.

https://www.nrl.com/news/2019/02/26/dug ... h-retreat/

Plenty of stories including from back in 2013 “Dugan made the trip to the Black Dog Institute, a wonderful organisation with a reputation for specialising in the ultra-serious mental health issues of depression and bipolar disorder. For evidence of his transformation look no further than his form and being on the cusp of inking a new four-year $2.8 million deal to remain at St George Illawarra.”

Josh Dugan “I had to work as a bathroom attendant in Thailand for just 3 Baht an hour”.

“Those 6 minutes of work taught me a valuable lesson that I can’t take my Million dollar contracts for granted.”

Said Josh as he ordered another Mai Tai and foot massage.

TBF maybe he is growing up finally. He is clearly a polarising figure, despised by many for reasons that he probably doesn't have the capacity to change. He has always been a self centred douche, even as a young guy. He is who he is and doesn't appear to have had a decent upbringing. He reached his peak as a player a few years ago and is now on the slide and probably seeing the end. I have little sympathy for him but I hope he goes alright post career.

Former Raiders hooker Adam Clydsdale will play with Scone, his junior club, this season in what is a major coup for the Thoroughbreds.

Clydsdale, who was the Newcastle player of the year in 2018 while playing with Maitland, told Pickers president Frank Lawler and coach Luke Dorn of his plans to move on during the week.

Funny how Mal has done his 2019 predictions and put the Titans as Premiers and Raiders not Even in the 8.

Charlie Gubb retired to take up teaching according to Fox Sports.

‘Disillusioned’: Former Canberra Raiders forward Charlie Gubb abandons NRL dream to become a teacher

He was a cult hero for the New Zealand Warriors and was loved by his team-mates at the Canberra Raiders. But now it appears Charlie Gubb — and his flowing locks — won’t be gracing the rugby league field again anytime soon. The forward has grown “disillusioned” with the sport after an unsuccessful stint in Super League and has now turned his back on the game.
