List updated... Bulldogs have two trials scheduled for Saturday 23 February, one against the Raiders, one against the Wests Tigers. The Raiders clash is now at a venue TBC rather than Bega. Clearly the Bulldogs will be fielding an ISP/Under 20s outfit against one of the clubs.

They won't get many people making the trip to Bega or any other place if it's a reserve grade trial. I hope we aren't intending to send a reserve grade side as well. I want to see our best 17 with plenty of minutes under their belts this year.

No that’s been cleared up some time ago. The Bulldogs were listed as playing the Tigers at Belmore and the Raiders at Bega at essentially the same time but the Belmore game turned out to be an ISP trial. The Bulldogs firsts are going to Bega.

The Warriors prevailed on the scoreboard, 12-6, running in two tries to Melbourne’s one in what was a low-scoring affair, without a point being scored in the middle half of the game.

It's really disappointing, I agree....but who were we hoping to drop, Cotric or Rapana?

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

But guess what happened? Rapana injured for half a season. You need to keep players like this in your squad.

No argument from me, but I imagine he wants to plays NRL, and we couldnt offer it to him.

Shame though...i think he'll do well.

Yeah sounds like Kikau (MCL) , TPJ (recurring hamstring) and T. Trbojevic (hamstring) injuries will all take between 2-6 weeks for recovery.

TPJ’s probably the worst as it’s recurring

TPJs hamstrings are a concern for such a young guy. I questioned it when we were a chance to sign him last year. Wouldn't want to sign him to a long term deal.

Really dumb from the Raiders, he looks ready for NRL.

I would pick him ahead of Lomax, back 3 are really important these days in the NRL and the Dragons Imo have picked up a Gem.

Especially stupid considering Rapana's injury.

Just a couple of results from trials today.

NZW beat WST 26-16 in NZ

CRO beat NEW 30-6 in Maitland NSW.

Reports say Cronulla were very slick and disciplined, the Knights were atrocious and have plenty of work to do !!'

Warriors and Sharks looked pretty good.
Newcastle were ordinary. They are only trials though.
I like Ponga but I can not stand the over hype of the commentating of him.

And I think the Tigers will struggle in 19.

MMaguires approaches to attack really stifles the Tiges compared to what ICleary had them doing last year. Sure they fell away as 18 went on but remember their first 6-8 weeks last year. They were knocking off some vgood sides.

I'm hearing Josh Reyonlds had a shocker tonight and Farah was....Farah !!

Reynolds was Reynolds. Over enthusiastic. Made errors, high tackle.
You look at players in their team
Reynolds , McQueen, Farah etc. Big coin players who shouldn't be in first grade.

The Tigers scored the fewest tries in 18 under Cleary.

They'll score less under Maguire..

Brooks played well and should have a good season. If he can get the team out of the control of Wobbie and Marshall.
