A classic Bradbury by the Renegades. Awesome choke by the Stars. I'd be checking the live betting records.

Happy to see the renegades win and the best player in this format win motm.

Best balanced team in the competition won. What I really, really liked about their season is how they acknowledged the role of their best player and didn’t tinker with it. Most other teams (and probably me too if I was selecting) would’ve had Christian at 5 or so. But he’s a genuine all rounder who can win games quickly at the death with the bat and pretty much no other team had that.

Pretty much every other side just had absolute passengers in that role and I’m happy it’s won them the comp. Good stuff.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

That was one of the all time great chokes. I wonder what odds for Renegades to win when the Stars were 0-93

At that stage I heard there were some vert large bets made on the Renegades by accounts under the names of Handscombe, Maxwell, Maddinson and Bravo.

The SS scoring system is dumb

It should just be 2 draw, 4 1st innings win outright loss, 6 1st innings win, or outright win after 1st innings loss or 10 outright both innings.

So... the Ashes contenders have made some statements already.
Harris piled them on. 95 in the 1st did and 174 from 197 in the 2nd. BOOM!

Maddinson 108. Not counting his chickens. I wouldnt take him to England. Thats Finch all over again. Pucovski also didnt impress with 22 and 11.

Our QLDers are doing ok. Renshaw 29 and 47, Burns 60 and 80, Labu 59 and 36.

Bancroft dotted them up. All 600 deliveries - the 4th man to face that many in a Shield game, Steve Waugh was the last guy to do it. He carried his bat in the 1st dig for 138*, then 86 in the 2nd.

Patterson's for is crazy! His last 8 Shield knocks are 100*, 8, 114*, 30, 157*, 102*, 167 and 134. LOCK HIM IN EDDY!

Its another potential backwards step, but Nevill scored 101* too.

Big Bird took 7-59 BTW. Tassie skittling SA with the 4th worst collapse in Shield history.

Never ever use Nic Maddinson's name in a post discussing Ashes contenders. He will go down in history as one of the worst specialist batsmen ever to be picked for Australia. I'd rather have Mitch Marsh in the team.

Your post is discussing Ashes contenders. Maddinson's name is the 2nd one you mentioned and followed it up by saying "I woudn't take him to England". That implies you marked him as a contender.

Yeah, Aussies have kinda sucked at T20 even when we were dominating the other formats. Looks like we may have finally worked it out. Picking specialists has helped too.

It was a damn good knock.
He just smashed everything, and to all parts.

Handy 40 from Short, and Handscomb just kept turning the strike back to Maxy for his just better than a run a ball 20.

Thats the key to T20. Find the guy with the hot hand and turn over the strike to him. When everybody tries to score at 170+ strike rate you can get in trouble.

Well that explains one of the holes if it’s from 2 day cricket. Why a draw is worth so little, that’s if you’ve drawn the first innings is it?
