I think CNK is gonna be alright. But we can expect some hiccups and with Jack too. We aren't going to see Daley and Mullins Version 2.

Yeah I’m expecting more of a Marshall Chalk / Terry Martin version.

I'd take a Chalk or Milne. Did the job.

If CNK is as good as Zac Santo and Wighton tightens our line defence then it’s a huge step up on last season.

I have a feeling that CNK will be better than Santo at least (although I didn't really rate Santo too highly) but it's still a huge unknown quanitity.

FTR i'm not a fan of Jack at 6. Dude was horrid in his last stint in the 6.

This will be a crap season when we've got a makeshift 6 and B grade fullback.

Oh well. Worst case we send Jack to 1 and Sam 7.

I too think he is better than Santo, and probably Abbey, but the sample size on all 3 is as low as the bar. Id take an avg to poor FGer, rather than a fringe depth player (if that makes sence).

I’m thinking better than Santo, just behind Pelo

I liked Santo too but the difference is CNK's ceiling is higher. Santo was fast as lightning and played hard but he's small and wasn't really a line-breaker or creator to offset that. CNK can cover more positions, is physically more impressive, and can create opportunities in attack. As much as I appreciated Santo, at no point did I think he could be a permanent first-grader. Not saying CNK definitely will develop into one either but it seems a lot more likely.

Warriors player Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad buys disabled kid new kicks

Hoping to soon walk for the very first time, a disabled teen has been gifted a pair of brand new kicks by one of his Warriors heroes.

Aided by two crutches, Takiri Wikitera was gazing at a pair of red Nike Air Max shoes at the Foot Locker in Westfield St Lukes on Friday.

I know this article is from two years ago, but it shows what a legend CNK comes across as off the field for anyone who's missed it.

I remember reading that when it 1st come out , thought what a great human back then. He would have been on a small contract , had a young family and still went out of his way for this young boy. Too much negative press comes out about our game and the people who play it , there are plenty of good stories out there too

He played well in the trial match tonight. Took the high ball and bouncing ball well at either FB or wing. Defended ok and found some ChNKs in the Eel armour. Impressive debut for the Raiders for mine.

Glad the footy is back, even if it's a trial. Nice to see our reserves and trial boys get a win. Some good signs. Not looking too much into it, but happy with the performances of Big Red, ChNK and Sam

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Sutton copped an early knock and seemed a little injured later. Not the best debut.

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad signs two year deal with Canberra Raiders

Post by LastRaider »

So I follow most of the players on Instagram and I’ve got to say I’m not only impressed with CNK on the field but his commitment to the team off the field.

On Monday he was the only one (I could see) at Raiders HQ icing up his knee, then all through the week he has been limping around with some sort of knee brace things hooked up to a machine.

Such great commitment for a young bloke! Some players his age would easily slack off and take a a week of our two and not give rehab the focus it needs!
