I think they will be the side to drop out of the 8, along with the Warriors.

It is a little refreshing to see an NRL story involving a couple, where one isn’t being charged with assault.

Was the NRL 'sexting' affair the beginning of the end? Rugby league's golden couple Sam and Phoebe Burgess split just three months after the Rabbitohs star was cleared in a high-profile scandal: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/a ... rgess.html

Serves him right, if that's the case.
Sam, you've got a attractive woman, you've got a kid to her, you've got what many people want.
Yet you may have thrown it away for a flirt with a random.
Betrayal of trust, dude. You just don't do that!

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

He hasn't pleaded guilty until today... he has however, been dropped from the Kangaroos and lost the Australian captaincy over it.

Re: South Sydney Rabbitohs 2019
Actually, watching TV news today, it was said he had already pleaded guilty some time back. And the updated version of the story confirms that there will be no further sanctions from them... Being dropped from the Kangaroos for two matches and losing the Australian captaincy will be the extent of the sanctions.Rick wrote: ↑January 14, 2019, 2:32 pmThere has to be some sort of NRL ban.greeneyed wrote:He hasn't pleaded guilty until today... he has however, been dropped from the Kangaroos and lost the Australian captaincy over it.

South Sydney Rabbitohs captain Greg Inglis to retire at end of 2020 season
South Sydney star Greg Inglis has dropped a bombshell by announcing his plans to retire at the end of the 2020 season, while also confirming 2019 will be his final in the representative arena.
"A decision I've made purely on my own and something I've been thinking about in the last two and a half months. At the end of 2020 I'll be hanging up the boots, I'll be giving away the game but staying around this club hopefully for a long time after I retire," Inglis said.

Surely there'll be at least 2 testimonial matches for him vs Cam with all proceeds going to the 2 players. It's only fair that 2 of the main players in the largest salary cap cheating incident in the NRL are rewarded for remaining in the NRL after the poor sods had to take a pay cut.

George Burgess says he "decided to go with the heart rather than the head" in knocking back a lucrative three-year offer from Parramatta to stay at South Sydney.

Souths look fantastic, can enjoy another top 4 finish and deep finals run
Considering they went into last season as outsiders to even make the 8, they've done great to turn it around after a post-premiership lull

TPJ to Souths if they want him I guess.
I think they also get the 500k they were due to pay him this year, so they can frontload that and have 2m for next year.

Re: South Sydney Rabbitohs 2018
I need to say it. Inglis is the best outside back I’ve ever seen and very arguably the greatest player I’ve ever seen. He’s so far ahead of everyone else post 90s as a back it is unbelievable. He’s undoubtedly the best Origin player of all time as well imo.
This also makes me feel older than any other thing in league. I vividly remember him coming of age for the Kangaroos as a young adult and for him to retire is a weird feeling.
He has his faults but purely as a player I don’t think I’ll ever see an equal.
