There's a couple of temporary marquee stands going in on the hill, equivalent to silver tickets

Do any local Canberrans know where is the best bay to sit and how parking is?
I’m driving there and back in a day for Day 1.
Even if the Bays are in the non alcoholic section I don’t mind as I won’t be drinking.
TIA

The hill will be really hot mate. Id go in the Bradman stand OR the stands to the north or south of it. That will give you some shade during the morning or arvo which you will be thankful for.

Id park at the Glassworks, or thereabouts. Its about a 5-7min walk from there. Easy as.

Well overdue.

At least this run of outs lends to a stronger team come the World Cup. Because with Warner and Smith returning he’s definitely not on the best 11. But then again neither is Carey. I’m hoping they’re considering Handscomb as the keeper for the World Cup.

Ive been saying for a while that I think Handscomb and/ or Bancroft needs to work on their keeping. They are better batsmen than our current crop of keepers. But they seem to be ok enough keepers that with a bit more work they can be cleaner keepers.

I like Carey, BUT, I think he is being told to bat like Haddin and Gilchrist, which he isnt. Bat like Carey, which means get in, then swing.

Im also very tempted to talk to Short about expanding his horizons beyond T20.

Oh boy! Looks like CA’s plan is working and they are getting into our minds!

Hard choice to make but one of Uzi or Marsh has to drop out for Max to come in. Comes down to form leading into the WC.

This is my WC ODI team. Happy for Carey to keep the keepers spot but bat down the order. Given the depth of the batting Carey would probably be the better choice)

Short
Warner
Uzi / S Marsh (form leading into comp)
Smith
Maxwell
Carey / Handscomb (keeper)
Stoines (roving position depending on game)
Cummins
Starc
Lyon
Hazlewood

Its Short that will miss out on that list. I expect them to go with:
Carey
Warner
Uzi
Smith
Marsh
Stoinis
Maxy
Cummins
Starc
Lyon
Hazelwood.

Though i can see them using guys like Richardson or Beherandorff or even Tye over Cummins and Bigwood

The CA XI is taking on Sri Lanka ATM, and CA are currently 3 for 62. Renshaw, Burns and Labu all out for single figures. Patterson 32* and Pucovski 10*.

Handscomb’s keeping is a lot better than Carey’s batting so he wins the battle imo.

Carey gone early. Finch lucky to still be there after a catch just fell short of 1st slip and almost run out.

Ball moving round everywhere. Not great conditions if you're trying to regain form.
