The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Yeah I was disappointed. There’s been interviews from Tom Payne saying he was frustrated at being under used in the show. He’s apparently a tough hombre in the comics, which we didn’t see on the show.

Jesus was a very tough dude in the comics. The actor looks like him too!

I was feeling pretty ticked off when he died. At least Aaron is still around.

No Rick.
No Maggie.
No Jesus.

Getting kinda empty.

Yeah I’m also surprised that Maggie left with nothing. Normally they get a swansong on Talking Dead, tributes and the full shebang. She just faded into the sunset.

For the first time since I started watching TWD, I decided to binge watch season 9 rather than watch it week-to-week... it made the show much more enjoyable, as the the boring episodes were easier to tolerate, knowing you can get straight back into the next one.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Yeah I agree, season 9 has been good. Binge watching also helped me keep track of all the things that were happening... I only realised after reading an article last week that the first half of season 6 happened over only 24 hours... my mind was blown

I'm not sure what I think of the new threat yet or the latest additions to the group.. those who've read the comics might have a better idea whether this goes in a good direction or not I guess.

It’s interesting. I like the fact that they have to change the way they attack Walkers now. Like that arrow to the knee was pretty smart.

Did anyone else notice the Easter egg with Negan throwing up the water? Apparently where he was kneeling was the same clearing where Glenn and Abraham were killed. I didn’t notice until Talking Dead

This has been the best season in along time, I wasn’t sure how’d they go post Carl and Rick. They’ve breathed new life into the series.

I'm still trying to work out what the hell happened.
How did Alpha get Henry, Tara, The Highway guys, Enid etc. Separate from the rest of the community?

Just finished watching Season 9. I found myself sadder than I thought about losing Ozzy, I grew fond of him in his 2 episodes.
Can't wait to get into Season 10. Im seeing this as a potential Negan redemption story. Hoping to see them set him loose on Alfuh
