Canberra Raiders forward Elliott Whitehead: Play like it's your last game
Elliott Whitehead is set to make his 20th appearance for England at Elland Road this weekend, as his side look to complete a 3-0 victory over New Zealand in the Autumn International Series.
"We're going to prepare well, like we have done for the past two weeks. Hopefully, we can go there and put a performance in and come away with a win. I think the 2021 World Cup is the main focus, winning this test and this game at the weekend is another step towards it.

I realise Tapine has been injured, but it is surprising that he is on the bench behind Proctor and Liu.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

5th min TRY NEW ZEALAND to Ken Maumalo, Shaun Johnson made a big break in the lead up. We're going to video, checking for any knock on in the lead up, and the grounding. It's all good. TRY awarded. Not a good start for England. Shaun Johnson converts from out wide.

9th min Head high tackle on Whitehead, but no penalty for England. The set ends with a hit up from Whitehead, off a dummy half pass from Hodgson, but he dies with the ball 1m from the try line.

How was that not a penalty????
Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

12th min England attack in the red zone again, but Hodgson throws a loose pass and it is ruled knock on from the men in red and white. Kiwi scrum 10m from their own goal line. Head high tackles abounding.

Hodgson has been very solid, other than that loose pass on the line.

17th min TRY ENGLAND to Tommy Makinson in the corner! Going to video to check the grounding. It is set up by a cross field run by Bateman... they're checking for obstruction and it is NO TRY.

22nd min Three quick penalties in a row to England, after the referee has been keeping the whistle in his pocket. But England can't take advantage, as Graham throws an unexpected ball to Luke Thompson... knock on.
Good tackle now from John Bateman.

25th min Great attack from England down their left flank, eventually England given a penalty in the red zone. The set ends with a foolish grubber to the corner and it goes dead.

27th min England get a favourable call, a Shaun Johnson grubber ruled to go dead off a Kiwi chaser... but it looked to be off England.
