Inside 40 overs too...

No one is prepared to be patient and occupy the crease. This, “I’ll smash my way out of trouble” mentality is not the way to go. Ok for Matt Hayden, not ok for blokes with less than half his ability. It’s definitely a mindset problem.

Karma really. For both ball tampering in such a manor and the absurd over reaction to it.

CA have been forced to try and rebuild the side. I can see why they have picked most of the guys they have. However... at what point do you just say 'screw it' and tear the team apart and try to rebuild completely?

Renshaw MUST come back in.
Maxy MUST be in there somewhere too.

Marsh brothers must be on their last legs again... well... except Mitch, who is VC.

Its a worry when the part-time leggie is bowling better than the guy who is supposedly the best spinner in State cricket.

That young Victorian prodigy Pucovski just scored a double hundred before his 21st BDay. Only the 9th player to do it - mostly greats of Australian cricket.

If that Indian superstar kid Shaw can play Test cricket at 18 or 19, why not this kid? He batted at 3, but you probably bat him at 5 or 6 on debut.

Ali just got run out by a grade cricket trick play. The old, the ball didnt actually go for 4 trick, so the batsman are chatting mid pitch.

Some weird runouts in this match!?!?

Another massive score from SMarsh. 4. TBF, it was a jaffa, but still another failure.

I know he scores the odd great century but time to stamp S Darsh's cards and send him off. He just doesn't produce consistently enough.

Gonna be a long summer of poor batting performances methinks.

A 5 ball net session after a 12month lay off will do that. You're prep wasn't the greatest boner. Get down to the nets a little earlier this week mate.

Then when you face that pie chucker again..you'll be be ready.

You're prep is questionable..just like that footy team you support.

might've worked better if I kicked it? Full toss too just quietly(bottom edged)

We were chasing quick runs batting 2nd after bowling in hot conditions, not ideal for an unfit plonker like me.

Won't get a chance to train this week, I'll be right

Excuses excuses mate. Very grade cricketer of you to find a reason for being castled by the pie chucker. :P
So, to follow TW, here are a few more coaching tips for you:
Starting with TWs, use ya feet.
OR
Elbow up, play it straight back where it came from.
OR
Dont play across the line.
OR
Get set 1st.
OR
Dont play cross bat shots early in your innings.
OR
Just rotate the strike a bit.
OR
Dont try to hit the ball too hard; time it.

etc etc

On Australia news...
D'Arcy Short, NCN, Chris Lynn, Billy Stanlake, or Ben McDermott. Can any of these guys help our Test team?

Boney hasn't got time to block and take in the atmosphere. He's regularly promoted up the order and given clear instruction..
Don't -
1. Don't take centre.
2. Don't look around at the field settings.
Do -
1. Get the bowlers attention before he runs in and point to the car park outside the ground that the ball is going.
2. Ignore line and length at all costs and smash the cover off the ball. Boney hasn't got time for a quick single..it's over the fence or nothing.

Respect no one..

I usually open, pinch hitting at 5 is all new. I said to the skip I'll just get some time in the middle here and see what happens Image

It's so much easier charging a quick first ball of a dig getting into his head.

I used to bat 3. So I was the guy that had to walk in after some idiot charged the 1st one and:
1. Missed it and:
a) got bowled
b) LBW (yep no 3m rule back then)
2. Nicked it to the keeper or slip
3. Skied it for a easy catch to pretty well anyone.

I just watched the 10 AUS dismissals.

Some embarrassing shot selections, a lot of blokes clean bowled trying to smash the cover off it.

Silly stuff.
